Im hooked on the world legacy story and cant wait to see how its gonna go with the release of girisu and the world key and such. Sooo much to take in with that story. So many archetypes tied together.
There is so much good story coming from card lore, wish they make an anime based around an MC who travel to a different card world and experience it from his POV
Shiranui really are a cool archetype. They have strong effects with a interesting playstyle and i really love the artwork plus their backstory. In addition that they are referencing folklore and a cool series like Shaman King makes them just more interesting! However even though they are so cool... i hate them out of one reason. I've first encountered Shiranui by playing Duel Links, and they ruined my fun for a very long time due their modern design, which dominated all other decks. It was so frustrating to play against them with a deck made out of old cards and f2p ressources. Insane Recovery and Swarm ability and Utility such as Crush/Removal and Protection effects. Thanks to the support cards that Duel Links added for old decks, it is possible to defeat them in a fair and fun way, but I cannot forget those frustrating days. If not for that experience, I would probably love the archetype. PS: Sorry, for my flaming. I just had to release some steam, because I'm a Duel links Player after all and I only re-joined the TCG for half a year. Thanks for the interesting video. I appreciate the work.
Learning the history of cards you use truly brings out their admiration. I think some players, both DL and physical, don't know this history. But I would love to see more of their history.
@@chaosinfernoid9008 idk man invoked esabers were meta for so long, and would be even today had the banlist not completely slap them. Or Invoked Neos? Witchcrafter? Blackwing? They have been good for so long, and it will take a very long time for all of these to get powercrept out.
@@williamhuynh869 Well, that's easily refutable. Witchcrafters are pretty new. Blackwings also got good because of more support added. (One of the oldest though) Neos already had a nerf back then. Xyz have arrived. If you play Tcg, you know how much potential it has. In my opinion deffinitly the strongest summon and out of all the summons my favourite one
i can see them bringing a level one tuner and a level twelve synchro, I think that fit into the archetype really well, but I hope they bring a rank 4 zombie xyz finally to the game XD
@@somebodywhobreathesair2807 Well Mayakashi have Yoko being a lv9 She's not Shiranui but Mayakashi is connected to Shiranui and also she's the reason why Squire became Skillsaga Supremacy.
This archetype has some amazing lore. I've also been suffering a lot from it in Duel Links. Edit: If this story continues, I hope Squire gets their weapon back and their Mayokashi friend helps fight Yuuki-Onna
TGS Anime I love this kind of videos, the way you tell the tale of the archetypes make it very interesting to hear, and make me want to buy yu gi oh cards only for the art and the story it have behind Keep the amazing work And if you accept ideas for future videos I would love to see a Cyberse Arquetype Video or a Utopia Arquetype Video 😁👏
Konami is seriously high for not making spin off of this story and the many other stories and connecting lores of Yugioh. These would all make 10/10 anime in their own right.
I would like to see the True Draco lore anime made in Infinity War style, or the Aliester chronicles in Lord of the Ring style, even Dual terminal Saga in Game of throne style. Perhaps the best would be the World Legacy lore in final fantasy style.
Almost cried with the lore, wow good job man, ive been watching all youre lore videos since the very first one since i found this channel like a month ago, you are the best keep it up 💯
I’d love to see a video on my favorite archetype, the F.A.s Their central gimmick is that their ATK is based on their level, which rises as you activate F.A. spell and trap cards. This means to me that their ATK is a representation not their strength but rather their how fast they are going. They also hold the record for the most powerful monster you can make with a five card hand that I’ve been able to calculate. You need 1 level 4 FA monster, FA Autonavigator, FA City Grand Prix, Sword and Shield, and Limiter Removal. Play the lvl 4 FA monster followed by City Grand Prix. Special summon Autonavigator using its ability and search your deck for another City Grand Prix, synchro summon FA Motorhome transport, play your second copy of City Grand Prix, play Sword and shield, finally play Limiter Removal. Motorhome Transport is a level 9, plus 1 from playing the second City Grand Prix and plus 2 from City Grand Prix’s effect. For a total of 12 levels. It gains 300 ATK per level so 12 x 300 = 3600. Sword and Shied switch its base 0 ATK with it base 3000 DEF and Motorhome’s ability adds to not sets. That means 3600 + 3000 = 6600. Limiter Removal doubles the ATK of all machine type monsters on your side of the field. Since Motorhome is a Machine it applies. This results in FA Motorhome Transport having a whopping 13,200 ATK monster that cant be destroyed by card effect.
So I just started getting back into yugioh and have been looking at your videos to see what new card have came out for archetypes I have or always wanted to build. I just clicked on this to check out a type I didn't really know about but that lore and story made me really want to build a deck for this. All your videos have been helpful but the story behind this one was super entertaining. This could be an anime spinoff all on its own.
The Shiranui Archtype, along with the Mayakashi Archtype are two of my favourite Zombie Archtypes cause of how great they are in terms of design and effects
The future instalment should be about how Squire get her sword back from Mayakashi by setting traps like Floodgate traphole, firendish chain, Ballista squad and end her turn.
Anyone else here would watch a full anime or even an animated movie with some of these archetype lores? Like I would 100% wanna see an anime for some of these archetypes and their story
I didn't expect a review on both of my favorite archetypes to use in duel links and in general. Here's to hoping the story has a nice ending, or at least a special one
I am watching this for the first time, and Damn is this good!!, I love these trivia videos where you also go into the cards stories. I'm a zombie player myself, so this was a really cool story to find out. Also, i have this image in my mind, of Squire/Supremecy dieing after losing the blade, like swordmaster may have done. And merging with shade. Then Yokko weilding a new blade, with this 3 spirits merged, to face Yukki-Ono, (or a squire spirit empowered yokko, beating yukki ono, and then weidling the weapon themself, which causes the weapons and spirits to merge again) With the story ending with one who is both mayakashi and Shiranui
Although, Shogunsaga does remind me of the human form of Yokko, although they have Samurai's weapon seperate, meaning it'd likely take place before Squire ever held the blade
Its well contructed lore such as these that keeps me watching despite me no longer playing the game itself. 😊 16:13 Yikes, that was a mouthful. And there's another one immediately after. 😂
That Mayakashi video better come soon I'm way too invested now. Also Squire was already one of my favourite cards just due to her art but with the added lore knowledge she's shot way up there.
Love the videos and the series in general. One request, can you please at some point go back and revisit some of the archetypes who got recent support.
Man i really like this shiranui archetype not just because of how good this deck is especially in duel links where i got KOG in 2 days in the season before they got hit to oblivion by the banlist but their design and story were always facinating for me especially the designs of squire saga and samurai saga probably because they remind me of samurai jack and i like swordmans so much for some reason i guess XD
Between the lore of the the two archetypes and their references to Japanese folklore and their abilities, the Shiranui and Mayakashi are the only pure Zombie-type cards that I care about.
Holy sh$* this video is amazing and the story the archetype tells is soo cool. I love how the the sword gets passed down and how she became friends with her teachers enemy
We got a few new cards that expands the story. Yoko & Squire were able to take back the weapon Squire held, and Yukki-ona of the ice's link was reduced from 4 to 3
I created yugioh fanmade cards and i created "Hunter Archetypes"(still on working). My "Hunter" Archetypes is working on Xyz monster. The card was working by paying LP which like Paying hunter for working and if your opponent monster destroyed, you gain LP half/equal to the destroyed monster. Set up Traps and calling for Help from hand/deck/gy
