Dark Lady: Good witch never told you what happened to your Mother. Farmgirl: She told me enough! She told me you killed him! Dark Lady: No. I am your Mother*... Farmgirl: NOOO!!!!!
With that, I wonder if Dark Lady would be her mother or maybe her older sister. And if Wicked Witch would be her older sister since Wicked Witch Of The East and West were sisters, that would be something.
And because of that the Archtype cannot be used in the Anime. It’s too reference heavy and copyright lawsuits might arise. Still it’s pretty cool and would love to see it be used.
Lol the elmental heroes says hi! Most to all based on American (Marvel&DC) heroes And D heroes also has some of it So i think that you are right but not totally If a company sees that they also win from that "Trading promotion" .they will close there eyes
Just need 3 more Kozmo slots to fill: Oz=Han Solo Ozma=Princess Leia The Nome King=Darth Sideous. Also for Kozmourning, it's Oz reference is to the song "No one Mourns the Wicked" from the wicked play-made most apparent by the art showing Goodwitch crying(which references Glinda's line No, One mourns the Wicked.)
One day Konami enployees were sitting in the meeting room, discussing ideas for a new archetype. Then Archetype John bursts through the window(after smoking some Pot of Weed,if you catch my drift) and goes: ''You know what this game really needs ? An archetype based on Star Wars and The Wizard Of Oz ! And Archetype John became Vice-President of Konami .
I've gotta commend the card designers for not just basing their decisions off of the movie, but also (and moreso) the book, and the musical. That's a lot of research that they went into such detail without even needing to use the title character so far.
Apologies for the mega late upload, rendered it without any sound like the fool i am. Hope you enjoy the video anyway! Thought the fact id never known about these cards and there influences was awesome!
that was before anyone knew palpatine was the chancellor, they all thought that he was JUST the chancellor, and not some VERY,VERY OLD sith maniac. That only happened when Mace Windu died
I'm surprised this archetype hasn't gotten more support. You could do a lot with it. Like add in a fusion of Palpatine and the wizard/nome king. Heck, you could bring in the munchkins too and combine them with mandalorians to make the "munchkalorians."
@@harryunderwood8535 um the wizard maybe? Both are kinda liars. Both could have an effect that involves bluffing the opponent. I could totally see a card called kozmo wizard or kozmo solo wizard
Kozmo Wicked Witch also references Darth Maul with silver legs because at one point Maul used to have robotic legs since his lower half was cut off by Obi Wan.
It's also a reference to how The Wicked Witch of the East was the original owner of the Silver Slippers, the original incarnation of what we know as the Ruby Slippers.
Frank Martinez You should and May The Force Be With You as you go Somewhere Over The Rainbow. In fact, when I made mine, I named it "A Galaxy Far Far Away".
Frank Martinez I think you're a little late, used to be meta 2 years ago, though at that time dark destroyer was nicknamed "kozmo bank destroyer" because of how expensive it was.
This has to be coolest archetype in the game (next to Six Samurai, True Draco, & Burning Abyss) I wonder what the story for these monsters and cards would be like since it's a Star Wars/Wizard Of Oz reference?
Nah. The Kosmo Dark Eclipser is the Imperial Star Destroyer. The Kosmo Dark Destroyer, despite the name, is more a reference to Darth Maul's personal ship, the Sith Infiltrator. Which this very video talks about.
Farmgirl looks like its referencing Anakin and Luke at the same time since she's fighting Wickedwitch alongside Goodwitch in "Kozmo Lightsword" but at the same time is being Force choked by Dark Lady in "Kozmojo" Regardless, I wish this an actually good deck
Look, you try hitting a moving target while you are also moving. It is like trying to shoot a tiny bullet with another much smaller bullet from a slingshot.... But yeah, from experience, jet troopers are terrifying in Star Wars
@@blackchibisan8116 Also, the flying monkeys were the stuff of nightmares for many children who watched The Wizard of Oz, so mixing them with Shock Troopers would be, well… SOMETHING.
Forerunner could also be based of Dorathy's house since Sliprider can be see flying from beneath it like how the house crushed the witch who originally wore the slippers
I'm not a fan of the Wizard of Oz franchise, but I do appreciate the creativity in mixing it with another franchise to create something new. It so happens that I'm a fan of Star Wars, but I'd appreciate combining The Wizard franchise with any franchise.
I never knew this arc type was a thing but I'm definitely getting it because I love Star Wars and my late mother loved the wizard of oz so it's a good way for me to combine them. The Dark lady card actually reminds me of "Darth Raven" who was the main villain of the old republic games and novels.
Dark Lady: Accept my offer Dorothy... and we will rule the galaxy as Mother and Daughter Farmgirl: Never!! Maybe you are the one who gave me life... but you are not my Mother Dark Lady: So its treason then
All we need is, The Grand Wizard of Kozmotown, and Kozmoll Dark Goblin King and we are all set... Well and Kozmo Lollipop Bears (the lollipop guild mixed in with ewoks)
i hope kozmo doesnt become a forgotten archetype by konami. Im still desperately trying to make a competent kozmo deck in master duel, to little success
I was so intrigued by this that I got these cards today in Legacy of the duelist on PS4, this video has ended up making my day! Absolutely loving the Farmgirl combo'd with the Light Sword to get what I need to summon Kozmo Dark World. Only downside, DOG Fighter Tokens can't be used for Kozmojo. T.T
Very inventive crossover, also just wanted to mention I notice that for most if not all the monsters, the names lean closer to Oz, while their appearance are more Star Wars
Your very welcome Sam, glad you used my script. It's a good and fun deck to use, especially with the good build as you can during your battle phase, you can attack with a kozmo monster, then banish them to special summon stronger monsters as much as you can to deal a big amount of damage.
I have an I idea for it. Not sure sure on the name or OZ connection, but I got the stats. 0 ATK, 0 DEF, Level 1. You can special summon this card from your hand to your opponents side of the field. The controller of this card takes 500 damage during each of their standby phases that this card is face up on the field.
I love these archetypes videos, sheds new light on old and new decks alike, some I’ve never heard of. Great video! If you’re taking suggestions I would love to hear about DDD’s there is a ton of information there to discuss
Farmgirl doubles as Han as her effect gets you to whatever ship you need that ensures you can make plays(really set up fun OTK's). As for the Wizard, well sucks they didn't do it.
Coincidentally I get a Star Wars ad right before this video pops up only for me to put 2 and 2 together with the thumbnail and asked "This archetype is based on Star Wars isn't it?" Surely enough, I was right.
I am 4 years late to this video but I just wanted to say that the kozmo/BA/monarch format we had before master rule 4 was the best YGO ever was and I miss it dearly. Awesome archetypes and very well balanced format with lots of niche decks
Also interestingly- Death Maul dies before the original trilogy starts The Wicked With of the east dies just as Dorothy enters oz, and is not a threat. ALSO ALSO. Death Maul does by being cut in half Only half of the wicked witch of the east is not crushed under the house Interesting parallels, lol
Another archetype that I really want to hear lore for, even though I probably already know it all. Maybe I just really want to see what the Wicked Witch looks like as a more sympathetic character whose ultimately redeemed.
Nice video and I like how this archetype is based on two famous media properties. Of course, this wasn't the only TCJ exclusive archetype to be released. There are also the Kaijus which are based on monsters from the Godzilla and Gamera movies. Hope to see a video on that one.
a lot of the monsters that are not ships seem to also have opposites to their starwars counterparts with which wizards of oz are at least with the first few
This archetype plays super awesome. The characters summon the ships and swap in battle and vise versa with the ships dropping off (summoning) the characters. It's really fun! Hands down the best archetype thrive made in years
Combining Wizard of Oz with Star Wars? Heck yeah!!!! That sounds awesome! Now I want all the cards of this archetype just for fun and collection's sake. This makes me so happy.
"Hey guys! I came up with a new archetype!" "Okay, what is it?" "What if we combine the Wizard of Oz and Star Wars?" "..." "Is something wrong?" " *WHAT ARE YOU ON?!* "
