Um just wanted to clarify Mecha godzila 1 was made by space apes, Mecha Godzilla 2 was made from the remains of Mecha King ghidorah which itself was future tech and when Mecha G2 was destoried it was reperposed into Mogeara for G vs SG, mecha dogaran seems to get its ability from mecha godzilla 3 or kiryu who was made from the bones so the bot itself could use a DNA computer as a simple AI
One more thing about Dogoran. One of the Godzilla movies is titled "Destroy all Monsters" making the effect of " *destroy all monsters* your opponent controls." even more fitting.
Just a quick fact check Gadarla is actually based on Battra, Mothra’s “brother” as he has the same ability’s as Mothra’s but has the more sharp design, but Gadarla color scheme might be based off both.
Marik: What's so special? Me: They only require one tribute. Marik: OH COME ON! Screw the people who powercrept my ace card in Duel Links. Me: Welp if there's any consolation Ra Sphere Mode is still seeing play in side decks sometimes.
@@TGSAnime it happens to the best of us. And holy shit i didn't expect you to see my comment let alone heart and comment on it!!! Hi from Canada!!!!!!!
Hey Sam why don’t you ever make video to review cards that are part of architypes that you have already reviewed but didn’t exist when you made your video kind of what rank10ygo does to his architype archive videos.
The Kaiju Archtype is one of my faves, it's great when my friends do all this fancy card Trickery to summon their Uber monster and then I tribute it and give them my Giant spider while I summon King Ghidorah and destroy the monster instantly lol
If your opponent allows you to activate Thunder King’s effect then they deserve to lose all their monster. Frankly, if some one tries that in my, I’ll use the spider’s effect to negate his effect upon special summoning.
@@mrdude88 You're assuming I use cards that hold Kaiju Counters. The ability alone to sacrifice their Super Powerful Monster for a Weaker one so I can summon a More Powerful Kaiju is good enough of a effect lol
Mechudai Yuki, Mecha Jaden. He is the mechanical cyborg version of Jaden from a dimension where Jaden never sent Yubel to space and he never acquired Neos but instead he used nano technology to alter yubel and create a entirely new Hero deck, The Mecha Heroes. This includes Mecha Hero: Gearstrix, Mecha Hero: Sparkplug Guy, Mecha Hero: MercurDude, Mecha Hero: Viscous Oil Robo Fighter, and his ace Cyber Hero: Justice Yubel which is Yubel but is a light attribute and instead of the normal color scheme, its Neos' Color scheme and has a large jet wings instead of bat wings.
Random ygopro player: Hahaha my monster is unaffected by card effects! You: tributes said monster to summon a kaiju on his side of the field Random ygopro player: Clicks surrender
A few months ago, after a few rounds in a random match where I was using my kaiju deck I got a message saying "retarded" and the guy immediately surrendered. Heh.
This legit happened to me last night when dueling someone in dueling nexus, i let them summon until they got boss monster and I'm simply kaiju'd them. They afk
Oh man, Destroyah is one of my FAVORITE of all the Kaiju in Toho’s arsenal. It helps that he has very little Major Media appearances. Yo I seriously love the Archetype now. AHHHH it mixes Two of my Favorite things!
I really like this series. I appreciate how in depth you go, explaining the the lore, names, how the effects fit into the lore, the inspiration, the references, etc. Please keep it up.
Me: What deck are you playing? My Opponent: Just Thunder Dragons Me: NO *pushes his deck off the playmat* *activate Kyoto Waterfront* Me: We’re playing Kaijus now
It will be cool if they make a Kaiju Monster for the extra deck, a fusion monster with the only requirements of "One kaiju monster in the hand and 1 or 2 monsters in the extra monster zone of one player, summon this card in extra monster zone of the player whose materials on the field where used for this summon" We could use Biollante as base design, which was a monster made by the DNA of Godzilla, a rose and a human
I just ended up in a rather awkward duel in Master Duel where my opponent using a Blue Eyes deck thoroughly bricked, and I with my Kaiju deck could only sit there and do nothing. Kinda difficult to play these guys if the opponent never plays a monster for you to tribute.

@@JTWatts-rq6zb Rata already did Lunalights and talked about the new support in the second episode of Support Report so feel free to watch those for some Lunalight coverage.
Can you make a Black wing archetype review please and all the cards that support the Black wings also all these kaijus represent each of the six elements in Yu-Gi-Oh fire earth wind water dark and light maybe they're going to make a divine Kaiju
Fun fact: if you use "Remove Brainwashing" with this deck, the monsters you summoned on your opponents field come back over onto yours, essentially allowing you to have more than one Kaiju. (I think anyways on that last part, don't quote me.) And if that doesn't work, just combo it with "Skill Drain." 🗿
I always wondered what Radian was based off of. Being apart of the Ultraman fan community, the explanation makes sense. Good job and keep up the good work. Could you do one of these on Phantom knights?
I always saw Mecha Dogoran being more of a reference to the Kiryu version of Mechagodzilla, since that is the one that was built from the bones of the original Godzilla
10:18 That card effect would be more a reference to the third Mechagodzilla film, "Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla" from 2002, where that Mechagodzilla, given the alternate name Kiryu (literally meaning machine dragon), had the 1954 Godzilla's skeleton used as a base for the machine, and unintentionally became possessed by the spirit of the original after hearing the current Godzilla's roar. Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2 is where Mechagodzilla was built by human to defeat Godzilla using future tech salvaged from the remains of Mecha-King Ghidorah from the previous film, Godzilla vs King Ghidorah.
Dogoran = Godzilla Kumongous = Kumonga Radian = Dark Lugiel, Ultraman Tiga Dark Giants, Radians, Rodan (?), and (possibly) Ultraman Belial Mecha-Dogoran = MechaGodzilla (more than likely Kiryu) Gamaciel = Gamera Gadarla = Mothra and Batra Thunder King = King Ghidorah Jizukiru = Legion Kyoutou Waterfront = Tokyo Tower I love the references to so many kaiju. I honestly wish there would be more cards introduced to this series, or even cards meant to counter the Kaiju, being references to mecha like the Gypsy Danger, Mogera, or even Super Sentai mecha. Yeah we got Super Sentai like cards with the Super Quantum series, but I mean cards specifically made to be the antithesis to the Kaiju archetype.
I’m a big fan of kaiju movies, especially Godzilla (I’ve seen 20 of his films so far). So when I was playing “Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the duelist: Link Evolution” and open up one of the card packs and saw a card called “The Kaiju Files” my reaction was this “Wait a min…there are kaiju cards?!” My face was lit up like it was Christmas and I immediately looked up a deck list and started building my own kaiju deck, both irl and in the game lol
They aren't kaiju, they're mecha, or giant robots. The main difference between mecha and mechanical kaiju is generally that mecha are almost always humanoid in shape, and are also almost always directly piloted by someone, while mechanical Kairi generally have a monstrous appearance and are also generally on some form of autopilot or remote control. There are of course exceptions on both sides, so the real difference is just semantics and usually genres. But Pacific rims mecha aren't really kaiju, there are a group of mecha that basically are, that being the EVAs from Evangelion, which are literally manmade versions of the Kaine type enemies fought in that series, with them being less giant robot and more giant armored monster that can be controlled by a pilot. Look up what a berserk EVA looks like and you'll see it right away.
I always thought that Dogoran was based far more on Rodan. Obviously it draws inspiration from both, but the whole flying fire breathing thing is way more Rodan than Godzilla.
But they never actually show it flying. Sure, it has wings, but we never see it in the air. Also, the fact that there's a mecha version is pretty strong evidence in favor of Godzilla, as is the fire exploding out of its body.
10:10 About a few movies off there, it’s based off the movie Godzilla against mechagodzilla, where the robot Kiryu is built with the original Goji’s skeleton. The mechagoji in 2 is built from the remains of Mecha King Ghidorah.
There is a mtg card called "Our Market Research Shows That Players Like Really Long Card Names So We Made this Card to Have the Absolute Longest Card Name Ever "
Can you do either the pendulum magician,odd-eyes or performapal archetypes? They're awesome! Also, just for a twist, can you show how much out of each archetypes are on the f&l list? I say either because they're pretty much the same thing- they murge like hell! Awsome video, btw.
One quick note on the Card based of off MechaGodzilla. (No im not gonna type out the full name) Its actually based off of Kiryu, or more specifically the third version of MG.
One small correction, MechaGodzilla 2 was built from the remains of Mecha-King Ghidora. The MechaGodzilla that was build from the skeleton of the OG Godzilla was Kiryu which showed up in Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla and Godzilla Tokyo SOS. Loved the video and I love the Kaiju Archetype :-)
Me yesterday: Hm these Kaijus really do look cool and I have never thought about which Monszer the represent. But Im way to lazy to goggle it. TGS Anime: I got you dude. Also awesome backstory about the bomb amd Godzilla. Not necessary but awesome to include.
Mecha-Dogoran is actually based on the third MechaGodzilla Kiryu, which was the version that was built on the original Godzilla’s corpse with the Super MechaGodzilla as described in the video being built from the corpse of Mecha-King Ghidorah, so I guess the graveyard effect still sticks, either way I just wanted to point that out
I remember I had gameciel and it instantly made my deck better since I didnt have anything to deal with boss monster cause i was 8 and didnt know how to build a deck
