Yes they are.... I have a good German 98K rifle action like butter but also have a Yugo M-48 n a 48a both shoot really good groups... The Yugo's really know how to store their Pew Pews n love cosmoline... M-48 excellent condition the 48a I don't think it was ever fired.. Got them from SOG when they were selling then for $ 289.00 but their not around anymore.... Really German 98's are way too much I tell everyone just get a 48, 48A, 48B or 48b/o cause basically their in excellent bores n condition in .8mm.. be well.
Wow! Great shooting on that 1st target!!😃 I've never been that accurate with my M48s. I was one time with my 1903 Springfield at 100 yards. Very impressive💯 I have 2 M48s, I've scoped them both now. 1 for me and the other for my father.
If you want a truly unissued 8mm Mauser, there were plenty of new M48A's imported. Not as smooth as a German K98, but a good rifle. When buying ammo from Europe, if the box is marked 8mm Mauser, it's going to be loaded to the mild SAAMI specs. If the box is marked 8X57 or 8X57JS, it will be loaded to CIP specs. That stuff can be spicy. 🤠
