Today after a bit of digging into the vault, we bring you another lost episode. In it we talk about the history of the Yugoslavian Automatska Puška M70 family of AK47 type rifles and carbines. We begin with the M59/66 SKS, and then move onto the original M64 and M70 milled receiver AKs. Next, we talk about the M72 LMG, which was based on the RPK, and the M92 based on the AKSU "Krinkov." Of course we also go into the M70B1 and M70AB2, which are possibly the most famous Yugo AK variants for Americans today.

M70 = milled receiver + pinned in barrel
M70B1 = 1.5mm stamped receiver + fixed stock
M70AB1 = 1.0mm stamped receiver + underfolding stock
M70AB2 = 1.5mm stamped receiver + underfolding stock
M72 = milled receiver + RPK LMG barrel & bipod
M72B1 = 1.5mm stamped receiver + RPK LMG barrel & bipod
M92 = 1.0mm stamped receiver + short AKSU barrel & gas system
