Idk if you'll see this but my Yugo SKS has "Nemila" carved into the stock and as I understand it's a Bosnian town name. I'm thinking this may jiny that it was used in the Bosnian civil war but I'm unsure if there's some other meaning.

Just saw this message. Fair warning. My first AK was the M70AB1 under/down folder, and the guy who helped me buy it as a parts kit messed up. He assumed it took a 1.5mm receiver. I was still new to the AK world and trusted this guy who was very knowledgeable and had a collection of rare AKs. Well...I sent off my parts kit to a builder. After he received it, I went to his place to give him brake cleaner and some other things. Then he told me it had a 1mm receiver, so it couldn't take a bulged trunnion. The guy who helped me get my first AK recommended me his friend who was that builder. He got on the phone with him and started accusing him of misleading me just to keep a bulged trunnion, which was very difficult to find anywhere. He believed that he initially ordered a trunnion but because it was rare, he supposedly kept it and withheld information from us. I ended up taking my parts kit with a populated barrel, which was the only thing he was able to complete. So I waited almost a year or more to finally find another builder. A bad experience for me.

I know the PAP M92 made by Century had issues with the bolt carrier locking up but idk about there other guns cause id never buy an AK from century

Pretty much any American made receiver is a piece of shit for many reasons. One is because they tend to use cast trunnions instead of forged trunnions because it’s cheaper. The majority of milsurps and imports have forged trunnions. Another reason they suck is because of the finish and the shitty rivet work. If the rivets aren’t done correctly the gun is gonna fall apart. You can just tell the quality by the feel when comparing to an import.

Not sure anyone has really fired an M70AB Sporter enough or put one through a torture test to know. Plus even if 1 examples does/doesn't make it, that's really not conclusive regarding yours. Just enjoy it....and get a Field gauge to use before/after every range trip. Do that, and you're plenty safe.

Your 100% fine. And if for any reason you don't feel comfortable, I'm ready to buy it, for a reasonable and fair price. These guys are talking about rivets on a milled receiver. Do not listen to them. Except Misha, he's obviously way overqualified to give advice. But I do have yugos and other AKs. I'd kill for a milled receiver in 7.62.

While I was not there obviously, I have read many stories, some books written on the breakup, and gotten to talk with several survivers (both military & civilian). It was a very sad time, with many horrible events. That said, your people showed their heart & soul, and thus survived it. I wish you all peace and prosparity.

I have a WBP, not the fox. I have ran thousands of rounds through my rifle without any issues at all. They're well built.

@@kurtlauer2005 Yeah I heard a lot of good things about the WBP. I'll admit the only thing that makes me hesitant about it is the buttstock beryl mount but I'm sure I can get a gunsmith to accurately machine it off if I really wanted to replace the stock which I don't plan to. In truth, I think I too would prefer to get the WBP over the ZPAP but it really comes down to availability.

@@SmokedPeppers6146 Ahh I see, yeah mine has the single tang. I replaced it with a fab defense collapsable buttstock. The wood was just too short for my liking but it wasnt bad by any means. You're right, availability is key. If you havent already, check out Atlantic firearms website. They usually get them in on a more regular basis than other sites. Bought my WBP and my Draco NAK9 from them. Tbh, the Zpap hasnt seemed too bad on the videos I have seen and they seem to be more available. I been wanting a Zpap85 myself.

I completely agree with you Zpap has overhauled their guns, I hear nothing but good things as well as the 899 dollar price tag is hard to say no to especially in times like these were the prices are skyrocketing. For me personally, I'm willing to cough up and extra 200 dollars to get the Russian style furniture of the WBP over the Serb ZPAP but I won't be upset if the Zpap was my only choice. I heard rumors that the WBP is coming within the next week or two and ZPAPs are restocked on a monthly basis at Atlantic, but those are only rumors i cant say for sure, but until then, I'm gonna keep doing my homework on AKs before I finally join the club! :) I appreciate your info on the WBP, it's only helping me become more confident on my hopefully near future purchase!

They were caught in customs guns when the 1989 ban came down. So were given thumbhole stocks & restamped M90 over the orig markings. I think originally they were just 'AK47' there. They are like the Chinese 1-56S-1 and HK911s.

Misha sorry about the late response hopefully you see this. I’m referring to the carbine version of of M72 RPK. It’s basically the same build, just with a shortened 16 inch, but still heavy finned barrel without the blood of course. James River Armory has built quite a few. A lot of them were sold on Atlantic and Classic as parts kit builds.

@@jtrinidad9625 As far as I am aware, the M72B1 carbine was created here in the USA and wasn't a Yugoslavian military variant/version? I could be wrong, so if anything knows differently, let me know please. I know tehre was the underfolding stock version of the M72 and early on, Zastava even experimented with a QD barrel version.

Sorry but had to comment to this, it shows that Zastava really listen to american civilian market coz they now made M90 in 556 and if you saw James TFB videos from Serbia there is a chance they will export M21 to the US in near future they are just wanting to be sure there would be really market for them,regards from Serbia

No, at least i really can't think of any. Of course other nations received them from Russia, so did issue them. But actual production? nah. The Type III was already replacing the II by 1953 and most other nations didn't begin their production until at least 1955.
