When I first saw Nishida I thought he was not that tall but then found out that he's 6'1. It's just that his teammates are so tall (some are 6'8) that's why he looks short when he's with them. Nishida, you might think that you're smaller than average players but for us you are perfect. ❤
I think he means smaller than average than most top league men’s volleyball players. They’re fucking giants and I’ve never been more jealous 😭 but yeah he’s still perfect ❤️❤️
He is a great motivation for me...I am very very short (162cm), I was being told by my coach that I was too short to be place in the team. The people in the team are all taller than me, I am currently working hard on PT to increase my vert to prove my coach wrong...every time when I feel very tired, I will think of Yuji
@@toxicfairy3651 stfu with the haikyuu shit we talking real life here, mention real players rather than some anime characters.. unless you know real good short players
in volleyball there’s no set spiking position like you see in haikyu although the positions that do most of the spiking are those who play opposite , middle and outside
@@ibmcontext1880 no…there are set hitting positions. The only players who hit the ball are Outsides, Middles, and Opposites. The only other players on the court are the Libero and Setter. I’m not sure what you’re trying to say about Haikyuu or in actual volleyball, but there are set spiking positions.
5’4 here.. gave up with mid air battle.. i love the feeling of digging the spikers ball.. so now im having fun as a libero & teaching new player the basic of everything i know
I'm a pretty short volleyball player, I'm 5'9 tall, and what he said is totally right. The run before the jump is very essential for the height of the jump, the boost of our speed along with the movement of the arms makes you reach even higher heights. When it's time to jump, don't stop. Be quick, because it would be like jumping without a run first. You lose momentum.
He makes me want to meet him soo much and I am starting to love volleyball so much more although it may never happen I want to play with him some day even if he speaks Japanese not English 😊
The most curious thing about his jump to me is that, he jump almost everytime behind the 3 meter line...that makes it most difficult for the strike without the needed height in the jump but HE definitely, as he explains, have the knowledge to do it and for an impact more powered visually... this kid knows how to amaze!
That's true Hight matters in volleyball but.. But if you are insane for this game and not enough tall then work on your Vert jump.. Working hard for three months you can increase your vert 10-15 inches wherein diet n recovery will play vital role.. It will give you speed, power, jump like spring
@@tylervue306 I dunno man, I’m quite a short player (only 170cm) and I still manage to score some good points off spikes against players WAY taller than me. It’s hella hard, sure, but there’s always a way around their height
He's playing against players with an average height of 6'5 so he is under sized compared to them. I'm guessing your playing with players that have an average height of 6'0-6'1 if you're playing in high school. It depends on the level of play
Honestly, Yuji Nishida is my idol player. He is an Aquarius just like me. He is left-handed like me, and my projected height is 6'1 just like him. Hopefully, I become a star volleyball athlete.
@@thomasclark6642 ohh yeah. I just did my height and reach. I'm 170cm and my reach of tip is 223cm lol. My vertical jump is another 43cm. So my overall jump reach is 266cm.
@@beyond_software I could just reach my whole palm over the net. I need to practice my explosive jump more. I'm short, 170cm. Always awe how the could jump till their head near/above the net. I guess they are that tall to begin with
I'm just 5.6 height and I will jump maximum 1 feet above the net🏐🏐..😎.... and blocked to the 6 feet players spikes😎 ......here height is not a problem practice makes man perfect💪💪🏐🏐would you agree 👈👈
I was looking for this comment! Did you manage to find it somewhere? I'm actually more interested in the t-shirt style one he wears when sitting but I think it's the same collection.
