To me, The Mall actually makes a lot more sense now. At first, hearing the version used sounded more like somewhere related to a train station, or something of the sort. Hearing the original, with it having sounds matching to an escalator, and what sounded like a person coughing(?), it sounded more like a mall atmosphere. Well, a super empty mall, but that's where it get the nice aesthetic to it, adds more to the atmosphere of the location.
Good video. I really like that such small differences in tempo can change the atmosphere completely. This feature in RPG Maker is really fun to mess around. Also, I think I prefer the original Pink Sea theme.
Wow. I remember once, trying to recreate Mars-San's theme, but then I realized all of the notes were off key. Didn't know they were actually slowed down. Brilliant! This game is amazing
Wow, thanks for this. I always admired how Yume Nikki incorporated songs in different areas and at different speeds to capture different moods, but I didn't pick up on half of the times it did it! And how did I not realize sooner that the reason many of the tracks sound the way they do is because they've been slowed down?? Again, thanks, this is kind of an eye opener!
Original Candle World seems so foreign and alien even though it's just slightly different- Same with Forest World, Ghost World, and Number World I kinda like the original for Number World
Huh... the original Numbers World seems to give off a feeling that the place actually represents time, and the end of all things... Like ominous bell tower music and all that... Creepy. :p
@zesterery No, again I was making a joke, yume nikki is a big insperstion for toby so im sire it was just his insperation, I was just saying stealing to make my comment more humorous
