Lane Yuumi is so fun!

Hi, I had a question about part of this if someone could help me out. Around 2:00 you say Hector should have been auto attacking the wave to build a minion advantage before Voli got there. Is that because you know that Voli is going to AoE the wave as soon as he gets there, or just because he wants to push as hard as possible? Since I've started trying to use these methods, the biggest problem I come up against is that the wave pushes faster than I intended and doesn't have time to grow, so I thought Hector was only making one auto so that he'd get a very slow push advantage.

As a person who's played more top yuumi than support, I love this video

We've made hector zoom all the way in with locked screen and used flex tape to cover his map so basically anything over 500 units is outside if his sight

Thank you skillcapped.... i had this matchup yesterday as the volibear. can i just say nothing happened and the lane was boring as all hell? i pushed in the wave constantly whilst taking harrass creating a huge CS lead over the Yuumi that can neither kill me nor farm under tower. gotta say the lane was boring as f nothing happened for 15 min.

have you guys done this but opposite? got counterpicked by vayne as aatrox and no matter how hard i tried she would just stand still and right click on me but when i got close he would just click e or q once and kite the ehit out of me.

Challenge: winning with no / very limited macroplay: no vision, no objectives like baron/ dragon and (maybe) no turrets (i would say pushing is fine attacking the turrets not).

So, putting myself in Volibear's shoes, as I normally play melee and gold (Tahm top/yorick main), this is what I should've done. (This may not be correct but this is how I will play out the lane.) 1. @4:07 He shouldn't have competed in Yuumi with lane. Let Yuumi push and give lane to Yuumi. As a bruiser player, one good tip is if you're behind or countered, you can always build tank. Tanks generally have lower gold cost so you have more leeway missing cs under tower. With items or not, at level 6, you normally win with Voli as he's generally tanky vs ranged champs. 2. I wanted to add more specific tips but can't. The most important thing about a melee vs ranged match up is that you will always lose. If you're given a fair item, fair situation, like level 1, you're always going to lose. Best thing is to preserve HP over cs. You can do 2 things about this. You can either ask jungle to camp you if you're a hyper carry champ like irelia or yasuo, or just ask jungler to camp bot or mid and try not to die top under tower. I prefer doing the 2nd one as even if I get behind top, if my jungler can win mid and bot, then we'll most likely win game as a top lane without kills does not scale very much. Also, because if opponent top builds damage item, then I build tank, we technically have same power spike at mid game. He has 2 items, and I would also have 2 tank items at that point as long as the opponent top lane does not get too much kills (2 max)
