Yep, arguably the best balanced DD line in the game. Not counting the T-22 anyway. I love my Fletcher, but it gets dicey. The Z-23, though slower and less maneuverable, can really hold its own.
I use Maximillian Von Spee. Torp range/reload and detectibility with Bey and Tyrwhitt as inspiration. My detectibility for my Z-23 is 5,1km (about 4,9km potential) with a -4,5% camo 9,2km torps (9,8km potential not fully upgraded). 70 knots speed Will admit maneuvering is not great but speed somewhat makes up for it. Edit: just got the torpedo upgrade for torp speed and it gave me +1knots AND+1,3km torps?! so I have 10,3km torp range with a speed of 70 knots. Fun little ship
Yeah z23 is awesome dd and it’s the most flexible dd imo . I used bey for long time and now I am using von spee and both do great with different play style . the best I reached as all in torpedo build was in the z23 with von spee and 58 seconds reload, 70 knots torpedo speed and 4.8 km concealment.
You have alot of HE shells breaking from hitting turrets or upper armor on the Nelson and Rich(insert french gibberish). Get them all in the super structure. Set the fire AND the damage. Other than that, this is the perfect example of how I thinking the Z-23 needs to played as. The fact you had support is even better as I wouldnt have bothered shooting a Benson without it.
@Will Kelly Once he has 3 fires going he could focus on dealing damage with the guns Would have probably pushed him to 180k or 190k. Maybe even 200k if he was greedier and decided to trust his teammates to have brains.
How the hell were they blind firing you that accurately when not spotted and not shooting? I would really like a video on blind shooting. I cant do it to save my life and I try, but it seeks like a lot of people I run into have no problem. Maybe I am just doing it wrong.
Gotta watch for where the gun fire comes from, and aim a bit lower than that, as the guns are on the top of the ship and you want to hit it towards the bottom
Z-23 is Beast!!! I run a Jacked Von Spee with a Jacked Bey inspiring.. Nasty torp stats. Gotta be top 3 DD's in the game if not the best.. Awesome ship..
@@TbullGaming Man I'd love to get your take on the Aigle.. I Love it!! Curious to know if it may carry special H.E. shells?!? It surprisingly will melt an enemy DD.. Torps hit hard as well.. I am running a jacked Philippe due to aquiring Le Terrible a while back
Question. How can it cap and capture objectives in domination games when the entire teams runs to edge? I try contest as I understand the value but usually die early from zero help. Any helpful tips when this always happens?
I still think von spee is the better choice. Even in this video most of your damage is from torps and flooding anyway. You only did half the damage into the Benson and lightning. I think von spee guns can do the same amount of damage to those ships.
I really struggle with this DD. Seems to be ok at Everything but great at nothing. I feel ìt requires team work to get the most out of it, something I rarely find unfortunately.
Your team won't do what you want them to do most of the time, but if you stay close enough to them that they can support you, they might wind up being useful
@@TbullGaming yeah I try too. Usually end up supporting some Muppet that just yolos to one side of the map on his own. I love it tho when a good cruiser player backs me up. After watching your video I don't feel I'm doing anything majorly wrong, maybe I need to tweak a few things on my set up. Maybe that's an idea for adding in future videos a quick look at what mods you have installed for the ship in question.
Nice tactic review...you HAD to have your comments scripted beforehand, because you barely paused for breath...there was SO much commentary there...excellent! I have Bey at 14, and the Gaede almost fully upgraded...I've started prioritizing the German DDs over the Japanese. Will get them both finished one day. I broke down at Christmas and invested in a year of premium time at the 75% off rate...definitely increased my rate of silver earn...most all of my grinds are getting the tier 6 ships now, so I run the risk of stalling for a while waiting on silver...
