First, you speak in English extremely well so, keep please posting and even if your Cura is in German, it's pretty easy to figure it out! Second, you have a very unique way of explaining things in a way that is easy to understand, and very natural. Third, I have been on a mission to find very technical content dedicated to print quality for a special project I am working on, and I have never seen anyone to date explain Cura z-seam in this way. Good for you and Thank you for this tutorial. I am now looking at your German channel to see if I can pick up some new information on print quality.

Amazing. The knowledge that you are sharing is way more than just the typical “The Perfect Cura Profile” videos most make. I love that you were actually speaking about the physical aspect of nozzle travel when printing, and the nuances or issues involved. Your English is amazing, and you were very effective and describing the nuances and how to handle them.

Thank you for explaining the setting as a noob it’s not easy to just grasp a word and understand what it means until it’s demonstrated. I have been excepting Cura’s outcomes and now I will pay more attention to the slicing to see the seems and so forth.

Thanks for sharing some of the complexity in a more simple way. I don’t know what other peeps think, But I understand the generic concepts of the mechanics of what is happening, But I get lost easily with understanding the terms of names/labels of the different things very easily. Each Slicer program has different terms or meanings of different things in some slight differences of degree as well. Oh the joys of learning! 😀 I can’t even begin to understand the complexity of thought required for anyone juggling multiple languages during the thought process on top of this. Thank you for exercising the focus and discipline to put this together.

Excellent english, great content....ps, I built a Voron 2.4 and now hardly touch my artillery. You would love the Voron, both building and using it. Also, klipper firmware with mainsail OS control is so enjoyable to use. I only mention this because I can see how much you love 3d printing and you will be very happy if you try a Voron and Klipper.

Top Video.

Just a FYI, coasting should not be on with linear advance.
@ForcefighterX2

I am a native German as well - though I would definitely recommend going the extra 2 seconds effort of changing my cura language to English before making an English video about it... Oh, and more important: If you get stringing on even smooth surfaces, try reducing the flow. Many printers are preconfigured to under-extrude for this reason. My printer's e-steps were configured to only 77% of the correct amount, which actually produced beautiful string-free prints, except for very long lines which then bent inwards. So here you have it: Have much stringing? Go reduce the flow first and check for visible signs of underextrusion. If you have none, the flow reduction was your solution.

ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WE3uIjrev90.html This is a Video on Linear advance I did in German a while ago. LA is great. At my sidewinders printer menue I can change the k in realtime while printing. Since the k may vary in dependence of filiament brand, speed, wall line width eg. I don't spend too much time with calibrating. K 0.13 is as a general for the sidewinder ok enough. Otherwise I just do a short test print and adjust in realtime if needed.

If the part I am printing has no corners to hide the Z seam I sometimes place a decorative spine in the place where the seam would be printed so the seam gets hidden, if it is a functional part it does not matter so much especially if it is not visible in its usage.
@justprinted_3den988
@justprinted_3den988 Год назад
You described the smart way to hide the seam. To have an inbuild seam position while designing the part is smart.
