In today's video I show how I replaced the timing chain set in my Corsa D, my car has a 1.4 16V 90 HP TwinPort engine marked Z14XEP. This engine is also available in other Opel models:
2003-2010 Opel/Vauxhall Combo C
2003-2006 Opel/Vauxhall Corsa C/Holden Barina (XC)
2006-2014 Opel/Vauxhall Corsa D
2004-2009 Opel/Vauxhall Tigra TwinTop
2004-2010 Opel/Vauxhall Astra H
2005-2009 Opel/Vauxhall Astra G Classic
2003-2007 Opel/Vauxhall Agila
2004-2010 Opel/Vauxhall Meriva A
The timing chain system itself is the same in the twin engines marked Z10XEP (1.0 12V 60HP) and Z12XEP (1.2 16V 80HP)
Tightening torques:
Chain slide mounting bolt (screw with pin) - 20 Nm
Timing tensioner mounting bolts - 8 Nm
upper and right chain slides (fixed) - 8 Nm
Access screw to the tensioner pin (screwed into the timing cover hole - 50 Nm
V-belt tensioner 35 Nm
Sump
to the block - 10 Nm
for gearbox 40 Nm
Shaft pulley bolt
middle 150 Nm + 45 degrees
screws holding the pulley 8 Nm
Camshaft gears 50 Nm + 60 degrees.
Camshaft cover 8 Nm
screws at the oil pump 2 pcs - 35 Nm
timing cover, water pump 8 Nm
thermostat 8 Nm
alternator 35 Nm
Water pump pulley 20Nm
40 Nm - 2 bolts of the engine support mount on the side member
60 Nm - 3 bolts of the right timing cover support
