Shout out to Zab he's always been a real one 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿 I remember seeing a young Zab at Paramus Mall in NJ leaving with his family, champ came back up the stairs to give me a autograph and spoke to me and my brothers. He didnt have to do any of that being with his family while exiting the mall 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Ran into Zab in Ruidoso, NM. Saw him pass by at a local fight and I was like....Was that Zab??? Took a pic with him and Ponce De Leon. Cool guy. Glad to have heard his story on this podcast. Enjoyed his later fights alot more. Like Tyson, he has become philosophical in a street type of way. His insight on the difference on how he sees situations now is enlightening. Keep doing your thing Zab.
🫡SALUTE 🫡 To Super Zab and the Podcast Holdin Court which I just got on too with this interview. I love Zab change being a lifetime boxing supporter, like Zab said anybody can change and it shows U the power of God!🙌🏾
It's good to be nervous before fights, but you can't be scared. Nerves keep you careful, but as soon as the 1st punch is thrown all of the nerves disappear & it's time to win. I had a guy I trained on the Zab vs Danny Garcia undercard. That was terrific.
To see you interviewing one of the greatest southpaws this sport of boxing has ever seen is a pleasant surprise. And there are so many layers to Zab Judah and there were fights he went into that he was EXPECTED to lose and he would gut out a win. There are some who only remember him frim his terrible loss to Tsyzu but he is way more than that.
The only difference between Floyd and zab is patience . Zab sees a lot of opening to strike but no patience . Maybe that had to do with Mike lol . And sugar Shane Mosley had to much patience so Floyd ajusted . ❤❤❤❤
Excellent interview. One critique is that the interviewer wants to get his next question off so badly that he cut Zab's wisdom at a few times he was about to say something interesting.
50:48 Don't try to minimize Kostya's career come on. He beat Ben Tackie and Sharmba Mitchell after the Zab win and then lost to Ricky Hatton. Lets not make it like he was just lucky. I"m enjoying the interview otherwise although there are some gross errors. I remember the Mickey Ward fight very well. That was on ESPN and that was in 98. Zab was 21 or 22 then. The second loss I believe (and I'm doing this from memory) is Cory Spinks which he avenged. Baldomir was after. Surprised didn't mention the Cory Spinks fight because that's when Zab became undisputed. Would have liked to hear more about the Cotto loss also because Zab DID have Cotto out and I sincerely believe Cotto hit him low deliberately. Glad to hear he overcame the "brain lead" issue. I remember that.
Lol yo the reason people that actually box dont like rocky movies is because its not realistic and boxers dont like watching fake boxing movies its like a race car driver watching a movie about race car driving he’s going to be analyzing and criticizing everything and seeing if they made it look real or if it feels real like in real life its hard to explain 😂
This was a HORRIBLE interview. Y'all couldn't be bothered to at least do 15 minutes of research out of respect of this man's career. Hell Y'all could've pulled up boxrec. Then asking him weird questions about people like Tank and Tupac... Devin Haney is his God-son. Pathetic...
IM SO SICK OF THESE FIGHTERS TALKING DOWN ON STREET FIGHTERS! THATS NOT TRUE WHAT HE SAID! CERTAIN DUDES WHO R TRUE WARRIORS LIKE ME WILL BEAT ANY MAN ON EARTH IF GIVEN A CHANCE! FIGHT ME ILL SHOW TRUE SKILLS AND DROP U!ALL THAT TRAINING THESE DUDES DO MEAN NOTHING TO ME! IM HUNGRY FOR A FIGHT ILL BEAT ANYONE!
That intro was disrespectful Zab has too many accolades and accomplishments for that short intro especially he wasn’t even sure if Zab was southpaw. Not to mention undisputed which is a top tier accomplishment not even Mayweather has!
