+Myriam E.H. i dont think he hated the experience, he just grew up and started liking other things, but he definitely didnt hate it at the time he was making them, there woudnt have been three of them otherwise, is one of his movies that he likes the least today. but he doesnt hate them ,he just wouldnt do it again becuase it doesnt fit what he likes now.

+Macarena Rey Luna sometimes actors HAVE to do movies because of contractual obligations so even if he did hate them he couldn't have backed out or disney could have sued him or something else. it's really hard to back out of a movie especially after you've signed a contract plus usually when you're making a franchise you sign a 3 movie contract or a 4 movie contract

Looking back on Zac Efron, he could have gone one way with all the criticism and hate he received from HSM etc. but he went the classy way. Good for him.

Not true. He has done a few dramatic roles, but none of them do as well. First movie I saw him in was Miracle Run in 2004. It was a tv movie where he plays an autistic kid. It was good for a tv movie. Then he did the High School Musical films. Not really my thing but the people that liked it really liked it. Charlie St. Cloud was a decent film, his performance in it was good. We are you friends was good. That one had bits of comedy and drama. A lot of people don't know but he has done several voices on robot chicken, to me that is awesome.

Zac Efron got immediate props from me when he was younger because he drove an Oldsmobile Alero even though he was becoming wildly famous, instead of opting to buy a Ferrari right away and drive it like an idiot like Justin Bieber or something. I'm pretty sure he has upgraded since all those years ago, but that just makes sense for a movie star adult with lots of money. He is no longer a teenager who stars in shitty musicals for 12 year old girls.

He met Seth during High school musical days. So almost 10 years ago. Then about a year or so ago, they came together for a film called Neighbors and have been friends since then. Even making Neighbors 2, and he'll also be in The Masterpiece with Seth for a third film.

As someone who has not seen the High School Musical movies. Or cared for the trailers and the promos. Zac by God's grace deserves better material to work with. I thought he was one of those performers that was just for the time but he is clearly taking his job very seriously and putting the effort for the roles he gets. Sure Daniel Radcliffe is trying too (same category to me) but in a more non commercial way. Stay hungry! Respect!

I hate that people like seth rogen make him feel ashamed of high school musical, just coz its theatrical and not some disgusting movie full of dirty jokes, like all of seth rogen's movies. Zac was so embarrassed to the point where he doesnt even go to the frikkin reunion. saying he hates himself makes me sad, and he even EXPECTED seth to hate him because of a musical he did when he was a teenager. Whether or not he was filming a movie at the time, that reunion was a once in a lifetime opportunity and it still so disappointing that he didnt go. masculinity sucks sometimes

Nobody has a problem with these kinds or artforms in cinema - that's just you projecting..The hate for HSM has plenty of other reasons, which shouldn't need to be explained to anyone with some basic understanding of movies. steroids ? you knwo he weighs 165ib ? he was around 155 at high school musical, so he gained 10ib or muscle in a year and a bit.... thats less then a pound of muscle a month. if you go off your fat ass or skinny ass and went to the gym you will know 10ib is not that hard to gain.

dont get why it's hard to understand him. clearly he is more of a fan of stoner comedy which is what Seth does while Zac himself is pigeonholed to be this teenage heartthrob because of highschool musical. Im sure he doesn't regret it but he wishes people, especially those he admires would see him more than just some pretty face which honestly makes me like him more now.
