@@pepsico64 it runs at 60fps easy on even slow PCs nowadays. Well worth it. Just make sure you have a gyro controller for the full native game experience.
What a disappointment. Just started the game - handheld mind you- and I am shocked with the bad performance and sudden fps drops that killed my enjoyment!
I've just sold my Switch before the Switch 2 drops, but kept the games. Hoping I can play them on the Switch 2 with more acceptable image and performance.
Not sure what you meant by “forced resync”. It’s dropping all the way to 30 because the game is using double buffered vsync instead of triple buffered.
The poor performance is really disappointing. It really soured the first impression of the game. I love it otherwise though! Here's hoping for a patch that either helps with the performance or gives us an option for a 30 fps cap.
If we get a better switch they're just going to try to make the graphics better in the frame rate is still going to suck. We already see it with todays much more powerful consoles that still have struggles. It comes down to deceloper choices.
Yea it’s a weird choice that most Nintendo first party 60FPS games use and I’m not sure why you would?? And then they stay completely foreign to the idea of giving us a 30fps toggle option. Definitely weird, double buffer is completely unnecessary in this situation
@@boshi9because it’s not mostly 60. And it’s not like most games where it dropped a few frames here and there. It’s double buffered. So if it drops one frame, it drops down to 30 fps. Now that I’m further into the game I gotta say it really is obnoxious… constantly jumping between full speed, half speed, full speed half speed. A 30fps toggle would give us the option to lock it down to a consistent framerate that will never fluctuate or change. That’s why having options like that are always worth it as a choice to the player
I'm definitely annoying by the lack of a new Switch. I stopped playing Tears of the Kingdom early in the game because I'd rather wait for a new Switch in hopes that the game runs better. I'd be surprised if Echoes is outputting an actual 1080p image considering the shimmering you've pointed out.
I love this game, it's incredible. But my enjoyment is hinderer enough by the framerate that i've decided to wait for the new console and hope it has backwards compatibility before i continue playing it.
I just finished the game and didn't even realize there were issues with the framerate until I read about it online. The game isn't fast-paced enough for it to really matter that much, and it shouldn't be a dealbreaker for anyone.
The game runs fine. It's been 8 years of switch and people act surprised when a game on this console has fps issues, like wtf A game dropping from 60 isn't the end of the world.
Lmao there is no switch 2 bcs the oled was supposed to be switch 2. Why nintendo need to upgrade the switch when fanboys will suck everything they released. Switch right now is over decade old hardware and yes they still charged u 350$ and fanboys still sucked hard lol The day switch 2 release is when nintendo can’t milking switch anymore, day when fanboys stop sucking every shite products from them
@@chicawe ofc they treating is like holy grail. They gotten scammed by nintendo in the past, literally oled is just og switch reskin used same outdated hardware and nintendo slapped 50$ higher priced tag and call that a upgrade 💀
Performance got a lot better when you left the main city/got passed the intro. you should get a little further into the games you play before making these HDR/performance reviews
It's a shame. Would have loved to play this on my Switch. But these performance issues are just unacceptable! So I decided to emulate the game instead. And it runs soooo much better on my PC!
Most people dont invest money on a powerful pc because they don’t play games all day, thats more a freak/tech-guy thing. The regular player just want a cheap option to quickly pick and play from time to time.
Frame issue makes no sense since it’s the same graphical power of links awakening. This is probably programmed to stutter on purpose to allow for reasoning to buy the switch 2. A marketing tactic of the lowest grade.
