That thing needs to be raised up to about 12” off the water. That would certainly help the hotspots and even out par everywhere. Great light!

so a year later, what are your thoughts on this light, I'm looking at purchasing the 48 from BRS, its gonna run about 700 after-tax , very few lights out there have sunrise/sunset mode and i just love the sleek design

Hi I got 6600 version for my 2 months old 40 gal breeder . No corals yet . Planning to do a mixed reef in long run . I also inverted the stand to make it 11 inch above water level. Can somebody share the light configuration for different channels across different hours in a day .

I was about to get this light. Its only 369.00 on brs in a 28 inch BUT then I read its only 90 watts! Thats crazy but they placed the pucks wierd in the 28 actually its 24 inch. The wierd thing is this light has 3 times the amount of puks as the 24! Better placement but the even weirder thing is they said this one was only 180 watts! Numbers arent adding up! truthfully thats all the power I need really for a 36 bowfront, thought about this more but why dosnt this light have any shimmer? The lens are like a lot of lights that have a lot of shimmer. Ijust dont get it. It has everything I want as far as price, uv, has a green and a red, the ratio between blue to white. I cant find a light! I dont think I am being to picky. The only light that has everything I am looking for that I just named is radions but look at the price. I was about to get this or maxspect etheral (no red or green and 3 whites and 3 blues) photon has no lavender or uv!. I think I am going into the chinese market! Noopsyche is good but not sure about reliability andits way over powered but looks nice, oh now I remeber the problem with noop is 90 degree lens. I want to move the to a 120 later and its says it only covers 18 x 18! It has 95 watts so must be the lens!
