Thank you! Awesome Video!!! I also have a C300 III and have been looking for a gimbal. right now im just waiting to see what Ronin will bring to the table on Thursday and make my decision.
I wanted to ask you if you have been able to control de camera from the smartsling handle. I own a Canon C200 and it´s been imposible for me. I even bought a cable straight from Zhiyun and it does not fit the terminal in the camera.
Am I seeing correctly- that you are controlling the C300 with the FeelWorld Monitor? If that's the case, is there anything else needed? I have the Crane S3 but can't get it to control the camera. This seems like a great option. What model monitor is that please?
That baseplate with its 12mm rods, not 15, is the bane of my existence. It means i can't use my rigs already attached 15mm rods for the FIZ motors and instead have to use theirs. Its a real dick move on their part
@@jmorg1267 Find someone with a mini lathe and make two small 15mm outside diameter inserts out of aluminum rod bored inside to 12mm. Then cut a slit down the entire length. I made two for my rig so I can use the 12mm rods on any of my 15mm plates to attach follow focus and or zoom servos.
My go to for a few years has been my ronin mx in a ring. It works great with the c200 and my c300iii but I had to get the bpa30 battery to clear the rear of the cradle lol. I’ve been wondering about the crane 3s for my c300iii setup though so thanks for the video!
I have the same monitor and crane 3s with blackmagic 4k - I couldn't find an arm to make it work so I'm happy to have found your video and will get that arm. I'm looking at your cable in the video - what is that cable? is there something similar I can use with my setup? the hdmi seems too heavy and gets in the way. thanks!!!!
At this point wouldn’t it be better to use an Easyrig Minimax? You would have longer shoot time and still get smooth shots. The C300 plus the Crane seems like a heavy load!
Man, I’m looking for a gimbal to fly my c300iii and short of spending $8000+ on a ronin 2 or a Movi, this crane 3s feels like the only option haha. I have a half baked setup right now flying it on my Ronin MX with a ring but it doesn’t quite fit and allow full range of motion so it’s pretty limiting. I prefer DJI’s stabilization algorithms and software/app but they just don’t have anything that sits between the new RS2 which doesn’t fit my C300iii setup and the full blown Ronin 2 which costs an arm and a leg 🤔
@@damiencooper I did! I run a Full Frame Camera Co, v-mount plate off the back. So technically I could remove it and the RS2 would work. But that plate bolts right to the body so you can mount batteries Red style. It’s not the biggest hassle in the world to take off but is a bit more permanent of an accessory than the other rigging accessories. Which is where I find my dilemma because that’s the only piece that causes issues in the RS2 haha
@@damiencooper I’m not entirely sure. I haven’t tested it for myself yet but I’ve been told that it doesn’t quite clear into underslung mode. I think bottom line is that I’m like you in that I have a love hate relationship with gimbals because I’m looking for the perfect one and I’m getting tired of looking 😂
Hi, you may give to me some footage from C300III, i want compare workflow in PP, Resolve, FCUT, between XF-AVC, cRAW-light and blackmagic RAW, ProRes HQ. Plz help me. Or somebody who have C300III, can help me..
Hello Friend. I have a problem with Crane 3S. For 6 months now I can't solve the problem😌😌😌When you move forward or backward, does your video jerk? Maybe the power bank for the Blackmagic 6K camera should be placed at the top 👆? I have posted now at the top of the camera 🎥?
Monkeypixels Yes, I did it all. With auto, the Tilt value is 5, but in practice this is not enough. After the auto, I raise (manually) the value to 50 to make it better, but the video still jerks when I step. Probably the Crane 3s is not able to stabilize the Blackmagic 6k due to the wide body ...
