Omg this version of the deck is BEGGING to have Tyvar in it. You reanimate all the things you sac to Zimone AND its a thousand year elixir effect AND can use it to untap them.
I like this build, interesting to not go into landfall but it helps to show that there's lots of different things that this pair can do. Right now, I'm leaning more into the landfall effects (great for making token creatures to sacrifice) but you've given me a lot of good ideas to consider. This is a tough deck to cut down to 99.
This is the deck I'm having the hardest time to find a good balance, I'm going kinda landfall route but also need a good amount of sac creatures to make dina work as efficient as posible. Very tricky deck to build, very interesting.
My initial goldfishing is leading me to think Demo was right - you want a lot of creatures, even if you have plenty of token makers. It's easy to fall in love with the card draw and landfall, but at it's core this is a sacrifice deck. I have to admit, I'm kinda having second thoughts. Maybe it's seeing Joey from EDHREC's Baba Lysaga deck again, or that I got two copies of Inga and Esika that have me tempted, but I'm wondering if I'm trying to smash two decks into one here.
Sultai's gonna Sultai. Card draw? CHECK. Lifegain theme? CHECK. Sacrifice? CHECK. And I'm very glad you didn't go with the landfall possibilities, because it's not on flavor with Zimone and Dina's story.
Cool deck tech. I want to point out that having Retreat to Coralhelm + Bloodghast or any other Landfall creature maker + Bounce land = Draw your whole deck.
You could add some good evoke creatures, play them for the evoke cost and then sac them in response to the evoke trigger being on the stack with Zimone and Dina. Quite the value, as they would die any way.
LOL If they didn't have ''Sacrifice another creature'' Haunted One would get really silly by sacrificing Zimone and Dina to bring them back. I pulled Katilda and Lier, Rankle and Torbran, Yargle and Multani in my prerelease. I thought that Katilda and Lier weren't that good till someone mentioned that it basically turns all your humans into Snapcasters and humans are a very strong tribe. Yargle and Multani are also super budget fun :P
Took apart my Aesi landfall deck to build around this. Aesi draws too much attention. I did this deck focused on the first part, drawing cards draining opponents, no combos. Hopefully this won't get hated out as well
Great vid as per! 🤙🏻 I’ll be making Zimone but with 2 secret Commanders. Volo guide to monsters and Amauri of the dead tide! Makes for a challenging build. Got some good cards to add now, thanks! 🤙🏻
this video gave me some good ideas to add to my Baba lysaga deck, since I'm saccing things all the time, Witch of the moors is fantastic there as I'm saccing creatures all the time.
Sweet Mother of Cincinnati! - two of my favoritest Magic characters in one deck! Pulls up seat to listen in... I was just polishing up some note on yet another Dina build. That girl has so many designs around her alone
I think this commander did sweet because there’s a ton of directions you can go with it and it’s super budget friendly. I made a $25 version of this deck that’s super fun to play and still smacks
