In this video let us understand Zinc Air Battery. Zinc-air batteries are type of metal-air batteries.
Zinc air batteries produce electrochemical energy by using oxygen straight from the air. Oxygen becomes the cathode reactant, and is diffused directly into the battery.
Zinc is used as the anode active material. Also, a non-toxic and non-flammable aqueous KOH solution is used as the electrolyte.
Primary zinc air batteries have been available for many years, and their very high energy density makes them useful in applications such as hearing aids.
