I was getting sad the past couple of years realizing Lebron is getting old and won’t play much longer then Zion came along soon as Bron retires this dude taking over
@@benanderson1599 I would say that a decade ago but since the NBA has become Small Ball Central and because of this, he might be ballin' out BIG BODY-style...we shall see. (P.S. I rather have Steve Nash's god son!)
@@benanderson1599 its not about intimidation...its the way the game has changed to give the offensive player the advantage. That's why Williamson will dominate even more in the pros....if he can make free throws, its really over!
I agree. I hope he avoids any career crippling injury because I think he is the next evolution in basketball player. A power guard. He's 18! He may still grow. He will have NBA trainers working on his body. Sky is the limit for this guy. He's a must watch for me.
Tfrgh Uhhn That’s the whole point of talking about him. Who are you going to compare him to ??? Toronto’s second string PF in 1999? The HoFers are there for comparison, to the up and comers. Kareem was being compared to Wilt, in his day. Micheal to multiple people. and Dominique Wilkins to Dr.J. This is nothing new, it’s just new to you, so you think it’s special.
Lil Dagga I hate when they do that. And say he doesn’t live up to this hype then they will jump all over him and call him a bust. Let the man grow and do his thing.
Of course he is, the NBA is rigged. LeBron leaves, they get the #1 pick. It's in the LeBron contract. And 4 years, 3 1st round picks later, LeBron will return.
Lebron’s hype?????? I swear people are so fickle. People really have very short memories.. the hype LBJ had coming out of HIGHSCHOOL was on another level and probably will never be matched. Zion can no doubt play and is an athletic freak but damn calm down. The media loves giving players the “Juice” and start comparing there games to HOF players and building them up to be the next LeBron, steph Curry, KD etc.. As soon as Zion gets to the NBA and has a couple ok games or even bad games these same analysts are calling him a bust and breaking you down. Keep in mind Zion is 280 at 6’7. Shaq came in the league at 7’1 285.. I don’t care how athletic you are, your knees only have so much cartilage. I want this dude to live up to the “hype” so we will see
@@terrellsmith6643 You totally missed the point. What I said has nothing to do with accomplishments. Shaq was a 7'1 285 Center that was a dominate force under the basket with power, speed and agility. Zion is barely 6'7 (might actually be 6'6) 280 lb SF that plays PF in college that has freakish athleticism BUT the issue is he is already 280 lbs at 18 years old and he is not a big man. Those knees could take a massive beating early that COULD have an affect on his game not only that he can't create his own shot which at 6'7 he is going to need in the NBA. Dunking is cool in college but you need more than that. just ask Blake Griffin. Secondly Zion is nothing like Shaq that was the point of me saying what I said. Hopefully he can refine his skills but we gonna find out what he is about in due time.
That ain’t it chief , open your eyes Zion is incredible . Barring injuries he will surprise everything you’ve envisioned as the best nba prototype player .. #imout
If zion has the killer instinct he will be better than lebron. I just hope he has Jordan or Kobe’s mindset. Don’t want him to be doing that passing weird shit in the nba
@@leonzaduncan2438 same thing! It ends in a dunk or lay up. So of course you're going to have a 80 something shooting percentage if over 80% of your shots are 1 feet from the basket.
@@iveywebb wateva dude...that kid is 6'8 285lbs ... he's left handed and dunks from tha freethrow line with tha right hand...smh nique couldn't even draw himself doing that lol...this kid is a freak of nature
Quicker than Andrew Wiggins but at 285lbs, slashing like D. WADE with the mindset of JORDAN and I. Q. Of STEPH...filling the lanes at 6'7" like Clyde Drexler with the humility of DIRK off the court with the cockiness of BIRD...ZION BABY THANOS will be catching bodies next yr. LOL
@@Dis_bltch_loud_in_every_movie lol. Im not taking my comment down though. You're picture is stunning regardless. Its all good bro. You're right with what you said!] Stay safe bro!
Which means he'll be paired with Trae Young on the Hawks next year. That would be quite an amazing combo. Atlanta deserves it and I hope they get the pick.
How do they just skip over what larry Johnson was, 6'5 250lbs power, explosion and highly skilled, and also "undersized" for the position but was so strong and powerful he dominated most guys at his position, that's who Zion reminds me of, not saying those other comparisons are wrong at all, just his body type is almost identical to LJ's
RJ isn't better than Zion. I know it's cool to say that and be a contrarian especially because of the greatness that is RJ Barrett, but in these last few games, it's clear as day Zion is way too dominant. RJ is amazing, but he's still a suspect decision maker, a super streaky shooter, and can't get/score at the rim at the level of Zion. He has superstar potential, but right now, Zion's dominance cannot be ignored anymore. He scores so effortlessely. Zion has 76 points on 36 shots in these last 3 games. RJ has 76 on 66 shots. He is just too dominant right now.
I have to disagree. They both have different games. Most of Zions shots are going to be around the rim. Barret is more of a shooter so of course he is going to have a worse percentage. Either way this team is fun to watch and this coming from a UNC fan.
He's also shooting an outrageous fg% that shit aint happening in the nba. I don't know, he gets all his points in the flow of the game rj can put up 40 if his team needs it. I dont see zion completely taking over. Those points are coming too easy for me personally. His athleticism is something I've never seen so he'll be great but I dont see Lebron sorry.
Then you don't know what greatness is. You are witnessing something new, something unique and fresh, but he still has a LOOOOOONG WAY to get that greatness. Greatness is achieved by doing something big, like winning a ring as an MVP, dominating the league for at least a couple of years and stuff like that. Not yet.
And at 6'7 filling the lanes on fast break like Clyde Drexler, blocking shots like Pippen...slashing like D. Wade with mindset of JORDAN and I.Q. if STEPH...the humility of DIRK off the court with the cockiness of BIRD on the court...ZION BABY THANOS will be catching bodies next yr
He's not even the best player on his team. 3rd best. He just has monster hops. Don't let hops,ESPN and social media control your mind and tell you who is good. Gonzaga isn't the only team that will beat duke.
Kobe has been so overrated... He scored a lot of points but only because he took so many shots. His field goal percentage over his career was actually terrible and there were times he really hurt his team because he insisted on throwing up so much garbage so he could pad his numbers.
@@blackmamba3060 Hahahaha... Let's talk facts. Kobe was a ball hog his whole career. He had one of the lower shooting percentages on his team but insisted on throwing up a crazy number of shots. His single season highest shooting percentage EVER was only 46.9% in 2002. Michael Jordan and Lebron James career average is 50%. There are seasons Kobe shot 36% and just threw up endless trash. That's plain bad. On any other team he would have been lynched for jacking up so many bad shots. He took as many shots as he could to score as many points as he could without respect to other players who were better shooters. If he had not had Phil Jackson as a coach he would never have won an NBA title.
It's been a while since I've seen a high school or college player that has done something that leaves me legitimately speechless, and this kid has already done it multiple times this season. When he did that two handed alley oop... I haven't seen someone look like they're straight up FLYING since MJ. When he jumps, you keep expecting him to come down at some point, but he just keeps going.
Zion should have had the chance to go straight to the pros, dude is literally a man amongst boys, I seen a dude on eastern Michigan literally turn his body and walk away when he seen Zion coming to the lane 😭
Bro I don't blame him dead ass I'm a big guy at 6'0 250 (low key could've played RB in the NFL but I digress" I ain't standing I'm front of him coming down the lane
What is really underrated about his game is his lay up package is unbelievable, if he doesn’t dunk it he uses his soft touch off the glass for a lay up or floater. This is what separates him from Julius Randle cuz he struggled making lay ups having to get the rebound on almost half of his shots. Zion ain’t missing lay ups it’s crazy how he does it through traffic smh
Y'all gotta stop.. Shaq could literally dunk on 5 people if u just passed him the ball close to the rim without being alley-oops... 2 could hold his legs, 1 could be on his back, and 2 could risk getting their hands decapitated trying to block him
He'll be the next generational player. The same that jordan passed the torch to kobe and kobe passed the torch to bron, bron will pass the torch to zion
Rasta God Dirk ya style 7th most points in history, he single handedly destroyed the Miami Heat superteam with a bunch of role players (Kidd was 38 and way worse then in his prime).
I would never attach the hype and scrutiny Lebron has faced throughout his career to a kid right out of high school. No matter how talented and honestly we as a society should know this already. Zion will be a great player, let him shape the rest
Two different times... when lebron was in high school the “hip” phone was prob a razor 🤣 the media now compared to back then and how much they covered is totally different. The hype lebron made was insane for its time when he was in HIGHSCHOOL... let that sink in.
@@DaggerMan11 Literally? So you are saying Randle plays for the Pelicans one night, and next night he might shrink to 6'7", wear a disguise, take steroids, and play for Duke?
Let's not forget he's from one of the best football states in America... SOUTH CAROLINA. Athletes with his body build is NORMAL. But he's the first to happen to be great at basketball lol. Never saw this coming 😂
Zion has the Charles Barkley size but the explosiveness like Russell Westbrook, but he also has the finishing ability of LeBron. This may be a hot take but I think if he continues this showing, he's going to cement himself as the greatest prospect to ever come out of college into the pros, even more than LeBron. We're talking 82% from the field, 40 inch vertical, hands damn near touching the top of the backboard, the man is a freak of nature who has such a refined skill set that he could easily dominate and be an All-Star level player in the pro scene right now. I think this guy is the next era's Michael Jordan or LeBron.
I really like zion and think he will be a great player. But he's not close to being comparable to LeBron James. He's a walking bucket but has nowhere near the all around game of LeBron. He's much more comparable to Larry Johnson, who was a beast until injuries plagued him. For comparison watch Larry on that championship UNLV team.
First of all the system at Duke didnt allow u to see all of Zions skills he played point guard in high school he is a great passer he blocks shots like video games he averages 15 boards a game and 25 points so what about his all around game dont u see. He will better than Lebron down the roasmd because he already has something Lebron had to develop and that is a killer instinct
We Cannot Start Comparing This Early, But I Do See Zion Being a Great Player But Let's wait until he gets into the NBA Because a-lot of people fold under that pressure.
21 against Eastern Michigan; let's hold off on the GOAT crowning until he actually plays a really good NCAA team that has a chance to draw up plays to defend him.
I hope he doesn't get drafted by the Cavaliers. It's too soon to go back there and watch a seven year rebuilding process. Let's get some future stars in new markets. As a Knicks fan, I wouldn't even mind if he went to the Nets.
It's early but I don't know how anyone says RJ Barrett is better than Zion. RJ is a better shooter than Zion but it's not a huge enough difference to make up the difference in Zion being a better finisher, defender, ball-handler, passer, and more fluid as an athlete. Just watch a game and it's clear as day who the better player is.
Honestly I’ll give RJ shooting, ball handling, and on ball defense. But what separates him from Zion and everyone else really are the intangibles. They just makes winning plays and is more likely to take over a game than Zion. Zion will get his points in the flow of them game and will be spectacular doing it but RJ is the one who will have the ball in his hands if it’s late and duke needs a bucket. He’s that type of player. Both are great though. Can’t go wrong either way.
@@AlphaDwg that's my point, he takes easier, more efficient shots because he has the size and skill to. I don't give credit to someone taking more difficult shots. This reminds me of when people thought Melo would be better than Bron just because he was a better shooter coming out. Not saying Zion or RJ will be as good but the current discussion reminds me of that. It's just sooo obvious to me that Zion is a better player at this point.
Now Bronsexuals are starting to understand us Jordan fans. Here comes this good player that ppl are already saying is the second coming of Lebron. Bronsexuals ain’t having any of it. 😂
Best thing about him is his humility. Kid has a good head on his shoulders and seems to be humble and grounded, which will help him live up to his potential. Alot of talented guys let their egos and bad influences get in the way.
