You from Vegas the gtr runs good I raced him a few times at the track. Really cool guy that owns it. That red mustang I believe is pro charged it’s ran much better passes. That night my all motor mustang ran 11.8 I think.
Conrad Sealy so your a ricer... lol ok good for you you will grow out of it, i have a 2017 mustang gt that i track do u go to the track or do u poser??? Probably the latter huh? And i mean road course none of this going strait bullshit
Grey ZL1 did great, 11.5 is fast. The red ZL1 had a terrible run. A new Silverado with the 6.2L does the quarter mile in 14.1, which is almost 0.4 seconds faster than the red ZL1 achieved.
On all forms, the GTR loses to the ZL1 this guy is an idiot and on a hot summer day the ZL one runs a 12 second quarter mile my Camaro ZL one has some modification to it and I run the low tens
Seen several videos with that old dude in his ZL1. How many times is he gonna smoke his tires for 200ft and run a mid 14 before he figures this out? Jesus, the ZL1 comes with launch control, even a High Traction setting for the strip. Mercy.
Do you people realize that there lots of reasons why the camaro is slower could be tires not getting as much traction the gtr could have higher grip tires trust me put slicks on the camaro and a proper transmission. Part of getting good launch on muscle cars is drive train, differential thats their weakness stock the drivetrain is not always sufficient. Cars are my thing trust me lot of stuff you dont know about the cars. the camaro is on a budget performance car its likely the gtr is faster. from factory its price tag is likely twice the price it has to be faster. And skill of drivers everybody who has a fast car cant always drive it to the best of its abilities. The hellcat for example has issues with the differential breaking with hard launches.
GonciSOLO Yes, the Camaro is indeed fast, assuming you get a V8 model. Modern V6 ones are still putting down decent power though. Anything around the late 70’s to mid 80’s won’t be very fast, that was during the oil crisis and many muscle cars at the time put out 100-160hp. To put that into perspective, that’s less than a modern Toyota Corolla. And yeah, many factors go into making a car fast. There’s the transmission, differential (for cornering and launching especially), tires, aerodynamics, weight, weight distribution (too much on the front or back will make the car slower), and even the conditions outside the car. If it’s hot outside, the supercharger won’t work as well because the air is less dense, meaning less air will go into the supercharger. The grey Camaro weighs more than the GTR, which I believe is why it lost. The red Camaro could’ve gone much faster, but the driver just didn’t let it.
Older Camaros really ain’t nothing special, look up the 2020 camaro zl1 vs the Shelby gt 500 & hellcat though. It won the 1st official drag race I think it lost the rolling race though
I feel your pain. Idk why anyone would ever use a Camaro at a drag strip, they’re meant for the track. I’m constantly told 10 speed coyotes can beat my 1le but I know for a fact it can’t corner at 50mph like I can, which is all that matters to me. All amazing cars btw
Legendary Productions both amazing cars bro, 5th Gen ZL1’s have that amazing menacing muscle car look but at the cost of weight, 42 hundred pounds. New ZL1’s obviously look a bit too exotic but they’re very sleek and aerodynamic so they perform on a whole different level.
If they give these muscle cars an all wheel drive system a lot of people will be in trouble dodge touched on it with v6 models but for some reason won’t bless the v8 guys
Nitro at the end or what ever just fucking do it getting real pissed that a foreign car like a Nissan GTR keeps kicking ass against the American Muscle
@LAN Evo yes, really. I have a GT-R and dead stock I ran a 10.9, and a bunch of others I know pulled 10.8-11.1's completely stock. With nothing more than a tune and bolt ons, several have pulled 9's. That GT-R didn't look stock, yet ran a half second slower than completely stock GT-Rs so I'm assuming an absurd altitude because yes, that's slow as shit
This should be called the Camaro finally gets a win. Not sure what happened to the Mustang, as traditionally Ford 3rd gear has always resolved these situations.
pmm4177 Launch control is a major advantage for the GTR, the first Camaro did great, having similar power and all that. But there’s also weight and aero that you have to take into account. In the Camaro, pretty much all the weight is over the front, being front-engine and all. This makes for less weight pushing the rear wheels down, providing less traction. This is especially bad because the rears are the only ones being powered. The GTR, however, still gives power to the front wheels that are receiving most of the weight, which makes for an amazing launch. In the end, the Camaro still weighs more, and that’s why I think it lost.
Nissan GTR All Wheel Drive is just plain cheating. Nissan knew they couldn’t build a rear wheel drive car that can compete against Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, and Corvette and plus retired Dodge Viper
dacountryone S550 Mustang 5.0 is a good car for more than half the price of a problematic GTR with All Wheel Drive. I took my 2020 S550 Mustang to Indianapolis Indiana and no imports passed me. Those young kids in those Honda’s, Toyota’s, Kia’s, and Nissans got dusted. You should see the look on their faces. They don’t know that the S550 Chassis is super smooth and can handle and is powerful. Felt good smashing their ego’s🤥🤥
nate love wtf are you talking about lmfaooo you racing prius and Kia forte on the road that aren’t even looking at you. No one gives a shit about the car you drive
