I always felt guilty for actually enjoying the books like they weren't great, but they were a nice read. But the guilt lessened when I found out she hadn't read it.

So confused by the target demographic... the instructions are for children but children aren't exactly going to be hosting garden parties are they. And I'm pretty sure anyone who is of an age to actually host a damn party knows how to make sandwiches and paper chains so I'm not sure who she was aiming this at. Maybe she is so out of touch with reality at this point that she genuinely thinks people need a list of all the possible milks you can put on cereal.

To be honnest, when I was 7 I loved reading those lifestyle magazines imagining all the parties I would thow when I'm older. 25 years later I have yet to organise a single party, cause I hate them... But I think this book is for little childreen imagining what adult life is like.

Children love feeling like big kids. Her audience is mainly children, this book is aimed at children. Even if you think the content is too mature for children, it is completely targeted at children. And honestly, I would have loved that shit as a kid.
