For smoothing away the lines I know punished props tends to do an acetone bath, where the print isn’t actually dipped into acetone but is in a bucket with acetone at the bottom and the print just above it and the vapors of it smooth out the print

Yeah, for acetone smoothing to work you need to be printing with something like abs filament; pla will not work. The problem with abs is it peels off the print bed like crazy and generally needs an enclosure to get good results. I think punished props did a really in depth video on 3d printing where they explained the pros and cons of abs. But jazza’s printer could probably handle abs becuase it has an enclosed build surface, so if he does use abs, acetone smoothing would work great.

also abs is more expensive then pla so for larger prints pla is more economical, there are better fillers out there then car body filler but if he had done like 2-3 coats and sanded it it would most likely have smoothed it out entirely either way

If you want to have cleaner glue lines when you printed something and have to glue it together because it was to large or broke, you can stick a piece of filament in a Stempel and sort of weld the piece together by frictionheating the piece of plastic. Edit if you paint the whole thing it might not be that noticeable but it actually helps a lot if you want to have a smoother surface without a lot of paint or sanding

What also works great is to simply put the cut areas on the heated bed again and use that to make them soft-ish and sticky again. I did this for a art project in university and it worked flawless, you couldn't see a single line afterwards. It's also more true to the original material used, and gives it somewhat of a "out of one"-touch to it.

watered down acetone is really good at getting rid of the print lines, it eats up plastic so u brush it on really thin and it does the job (test it out on test pieces first, it can be tricky to use)

To get less visible lines just decrease layer high (0.1 or 0.12 should be fine, but if you are using 0.4 nozzle you can print even with 0.08 layer high), i know it will took longer to print but you can also lower your infill % and use "zigzag" pattern to speed printing up and use less filament ;)

Hey jazza just a painting tip. If you add a little bit of black and orange to the red it makes a more realistic blood color. I've practiced a lot with making blood look real and adding more black and a bit of orange makes it look spot on

Jazza’s 3D printer is so nice, very fancy. my school had been lucky enough to find funding for a 3D printer, so all thought i am in no means an expert i do have some knowledge to share. when Jazz’s said he would need to make supports he wasn’t entirely wrong, yes he would have to make supports but there are specific types of filament that can be used. i have worked with two kinds, breakaway and dissolvable, there could be more. i recommend checking out types of printers bc there are some that allow you use the support filaments -a curious teen

You should maybe check out transparent or PETG filament because those are made to minimize the amount of layer lines you get in the final 3D print
