I wish the 8 outlet timer had four outlets for night and four outlets for daytime like the smaller one. I don’t know why you would make the 8 outlet controller different?

What if my power sockets have round inlets and the cable has round plugs? Because the inlets you use aren't round.

Zoo Med Laboratories, Inc. I have the 8 outlet power strip one and I need three outlets because I have three lights needed for my terrarium. One needs to be on at night and two need to be on at day. For some reason I can only have a timer for a day one but the night one doesn’t switch. It is always on so I have to manually turn on off when it’s day. Is there something I can do to fix this so they switch for day and night?

Zoo Med Laboratories, Inc. Ok so I got the blue timing they said it the same as the green one however it is not and both do not have tabs it has a numbers 1 though 12 in black and again in white. I have on or timer. I need a day and night.

Hello, I recently purchased the repticare terrarium controller. I believe mine may be faulty. Is the timer supposed to click and rotate like a traditional timer or does it remain stationary at the time you set it to? Mine doesn't seem to be moving, I have it set to turn on once every 6 hours for 15 mins.

Tbh the 2 outlet day and night one is practically useless if it alternates. Especially if you have a light that stays on then a day light that stays on 10 hours a day. Most people need both of them to turn off and on at the same time. Wanting my UVB and basking light to kick on and off at the same time

Let's say my light is too strong at 105F and i only need it on from 8:30am and then off until 11:00am and then on again at 1pm until it can turn off again at 6pm. Basically what I'm trying to say is can it cycle multiple times throughout the day?

Yes. If set correctly, these controllers can turn on/off multiple times through a 24hr cycle.

Yes, Zoo Med timers should work fine with LEDs and most electrical devices.

I am having trouble with my Controller. I have both of my lights in the timer row, yet it seems like the time doesnt follow which buttons I press down. I made sure to check to see if my power switch is on, and the side tab is slid towards timer. Im stumped lol

How so? Are the lights not receiving power, or is the plug itself not fitting onto the timer? Or something else?

Is it possible to have two heat mats connected to a temp thermostat, and then that temp thermostat connected to the programmable timer? I followed all of the instructions, however, it won't turn off the thermostat.

Timers and thermometers get a little touchy when daisy chained together. Having a timer that turns on/off may end up resetting the device that is plugged into it. It'll vary from device to device, so it's hard to know what is causing the problem without seeing the setup firsthand, but something to consider. Hope that helps some. Take care.

Yes, but the on/off is for the timer, not for the device's power.

Depends on what you need. The Terrarium Controller (the one with 8 outlets) has 4 outlets that swap between on/off according to the programmed times, while the Day/Night Timer alternates power between the 2 plugs.

With the 8 socket controller, why can't the timer and power outlets have power to them at the same time? What if I wanted to have my lights on a timer and have my heater plugged in at the same time...is there a way to do so with this?

Of course! Flip the switch on the side of the controller to 'Timer', and all the 'Timed Outlets' (4 outlets on left side) will be controlled by the Timer, while the 'Switched Outlets' (4 on the right side) will have constant power. See the product page for more info: links.zoomed.com/lt-12

I have the terrarium controller and it has day & night logo. But I can't get it to switch from day light to night light

Ivan Python The Terrarium Controller controls lighting for day and night by simply turning off power during nighttime hours (while also providing constant power to 4 of its 8 sockets). The Day and Night Timer on the other hand, switches power between its 2 sockets, thus allowing for alternating power for day and night devices. Hope that clears things up. Yes, it can easily be reset by turning the dial to reset to the current time, and adjusting the tabs to set when the power turns on/off. Hope that helps.

can I use a brand new reg lamp timer on my zoo med overhead lamp ? it's a day /night .timer type

Since it's not our product I can't say for sure. You'll want to see if the timer is rated for the wattage you are plugging in and it's a brand you're comfortable using. For the best and safest results, always use products designed for the purpose you're using them for. Hope that helps.

I have the terrarium controller and it won't turn on or off. The tabs are up for when I want it off and down for when it should be on, the timer bypass is set to timer and the power is on but it just seems to be on all the time. Am I missing something here? Just got it today.

ok so i have a ball python and i have a hard time with his humidity. if i turn his humidifier on and leave for work then it fills his tank with water. other wise it just sits at 0 untill o get home. i would like a product that can turn on for 15 minnuts every half hour so his humidity can stay where it needs to be all day long. do you have a product that will do this or do you know of one that does this??

this is the worst product I have ever purchased. I bought the 8 plug power strip that says "day and night" on it. however you can only set one timer, so you can't have the night light kick on when the day light turns off. atleast, that's what I'm getting. the instructions are basic and very poor. and I can't find a single video on it, on youtube. lame....

Our eight outlet ReptiCare Controller has a timer that turns lights on during daytime hours, and turns them off during nighttime hours. I would suggest checking out our ReptiCare Day/Night Timer for alternating power during day/night hours: links.zoomed.com/lt-10

Actually... your product does not do what it says it does... it may program to turn my day lights off, but it is still not turning on my night lights I've watched every video, read the instructions, and troubleshooted myself (without modifying the device) IT DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS IT CAN DO. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I WILL BE WRITTING TO YOUR CORPORATE OFFICE.
