Hello, does the MRS-8 records in Wav or in proprietary format that requires convert? I am looking at this or a Tascam, not many machines with midi out these days.
@@muzboz that's too bad, this one have internal effects and drum machine that the Tascam don't have, I have to look for Tascam instead if it was not WAV. Thank you for your info!
Yeah, unfortunately it's a bit stupid! It is in some custom format. (Dunno why they don't just use WAV or something). It's been a while, but I believe you need to use their converter software that turns things into WAVs. It's a shame they're not just WAV files, because sometimes it'd be nice to just copy the project over to PC, and drop it directly into Cubase or whatever, and do the mixing there. gotta convert all the files. Silly design in my opinion!
With the MIDI out into my iPad through interface I use the GarageBand kit…..massive improvement!! And you can use the Zoom to program easily but with much much more useful and believable drum samples. Works great with EZdrummer too
