Changing the hard drive. Thanks for doing a video about the hard drive as although happy with the hard drive it's always interesting to find out about potential mods, especially as some of these machines are a good few years old now.

I had to because I liked the machine but when I took it apart and tried another hard drive.I was like, I'll be damed.

hello, nice to greet you, I am watching your video because I urgently need the system files of this equipment, I do not remember how those files are organized on the hard drive, I remember that when I bought it it did not have a disk, I copied the boot files to the disk and it worked very well until now when they were damaged and the equipment no longer starts. Those files are no longer on the internet because the equipment is discontinued. where can i find those files? thank you so much.

Hello Zoomers, anyone got the sound file folder or the iso of the support CD that came with this machine? I have just got one but the drum, bass programs are missing from the hard drive. Also, anyone done a CF card mod / swap out the hard drive etc? Thank you in advance.

I think I said it in that video that I had already put another hard drive in and putting another hard drive in does nothing because you have to have the software that came with that machine.

I think you need to copy the files from the old hard drive onto the new one - there are system files on the hard drive that the MRS needs to boot up.

I have the files to make a recovery disk.. But no USB or CD drive on my unit. So I have bought a USB to ide adapter. Now I just need to know how to get the unit to read the files I put on the hard drive

See that is what I was talking about. Problems with getting it back up and working.When I was a tech some equipment had to get intalized.meaning that the company has special way of activating the equipment.

I just wish I could figure out how to make a recovery disk. ZOOM sent me the files.. I just don't know how to turn it into a recovery disk.. I was hoping I could just add the the hard drive. But apparently that's not it

@@ALKITRAZ1 Just in case you didn't get it working... Zoom sent me a link to a .ISO file for my machine, which I had to burn as a disk image with appropriate software for writing .ISO files, then it worked great. Make sure you download and burn the whole .ISO as one file and not just its contents.

Mines went out also.I tried to put another drive in and it did not work. Tôi cũng thử đặt một ổ khác vào nhưng nó không hoạt động.
