ZOOM-ZOOM Issue 29: Soul Red Crystal 

I bought a 2019 Mazda 6 Signature in this color a little over a week ago. It's such a beautiful color and I love how it changes depending on the light. I'm in love with this car.

Just bought a Mazda and the Soul Red Crystal is amazing. It glows from inside out and receiving so many comments and compliments. The presentation is brilliant and says volumes about soul of redl, craftsmen and mastery!

I love Mazda.

Mazda does have one of the best red paint. The new cars have like a candy apple red.

I really wish I could get my soul red mazda 6 repainted with the crystal version. It just looks amazing in person. Will most likely buy a new 6 in a few years time.

I bought my attainable dream car this year, a MX-5 Miata Club and as amazing as the other colors are, Soul Red Crystal was a must. I even named the car as a reflection of the color- George Mica 😁

Great colour in person, but ask any smash repairer and they'll tell you it's one of the most difficult paints in the market to match after a crash of any brand. This was originally the car show colour and many customers said "I want that colour", but Mazda said it wasn't possible. But they figured out a way. They motion captured the takumi's (professional craftsmen) who paint the show cars, then mapped the robotic spray guns to follow the same pattern. This method only applied to soul crystal red. But kudos to Mazda for one thing..... At least in the Australian market, every brand charges extra for non white metallic paints. Currently, Mazda charges less than every other manufacturer, which also includes soul crystal red.

wish someone invented a paint process that had no primer to hide raw metal with a flat color, so we could do candy like colors with only translucent varnishes , imagine a polished/machined steel body with red over it , it would make the car lighter, prettier, and the paint would have depth.

I'm 55 and back in the day the color of your car said a lot about your personality. Having a red car meant your were person who loves attention were full of passion as compared to a person with a green car meaning they were fiscally responsible and good with money. But the times have changed.

Ｉ love this color, It's really beautiful, but it’s too difficult to adjust the color and paint accurately, as a repairman. I'm always struggling to paint and make gradation when I'm fixing the Mazda cars. 本当にきれいな赤だけど、板金屋としてはできるだけ塗りたくない色だわｗ

... I finally got over the SUV syndrome I changed my EcoSport TITANIUM 2017 (grey) ... Friends I just made a demo that belonged to VEHICULOS DEL CAMINO ... Gran Touring LX SEDAN (soul red crystal) ... 2020 model with only 4 thousand kms .....! I am happy ! ... and you know that I am fascinated by everything: it also has a CD system ...

And now, for MAZDA's next great color: "QUICKSILVER", an ultra "chrome-silver" color. I have seen it on a custom Jaguar XKE and it is as beautiful as Soul Red Crystal (which American hot rodders have long called "Candy Apple Red"). There is a similar color on the VISION show car and if that body is to be the next MAZDA 6 then make it in "QUICKSILVER". I once owned a silver RX-7 and it looked gorgeous, "Mahvelous, Darling".

Stupid idea.Tinted lacquer hard to find candy tint,also is very expensive. What about colour match and blending panels.great effect in sunshine nothing else pros
