ZR1 hung in there close, would have been closer on dry track, not bad for the price,horsepower and technology differences between them. LS9 sounds incredible!🔥
@@EugVR6 you can actually see the dark spots on the track and clouds in the distance, no there’s not standing puddles of water but there are damp spots. At 1st I thought ZR1 was trying to avoid them, but he was turning with the spinning of his rear wheels. So if he had not been spinning it would have been closer.
Duh, the OP’s comment at the top says 781whp on the ZR1, so it’s got pulleys, maybe ported blower, cam, heads, headers, E85, etc, about 900 hp at the crank, vs like 1200hp if the Veyron is stock. We’re talking about a $120k car with $20k in mods vs a $2 million + car.

@@blazesmooth5573 A basic bolt on ZR1 runs an 8 second 1/4 mile, literally just takes, smaller pullies, cam, headers, E85 tune and sometimes port. And to run 9s its literally just Tires and E85 tune🤣 you obviously dont own a car bud.
That was pretty unfair,but the ZR1 kinda held it's ground. Even though it was majorly out classed!!!! Goes to show you,the Corvettes are some serious machines!!! I have a C-7 Corvette Stingray Z51 with manual transmission, haven't been beat yet!!! Been up agents turbo, and super charged Mustangs, Challenger's and Chargers. I know that my car isn't the greatest, and I know that I can be beaten, but it hasn't happened yet.

Considering the Veyron has double the cylinders and three more power adders in addition to all-wheel drive and a better engine placement that's a great result. Never mind that was a decade ago I bet it will be a different conversation with that ZR1 now.
I'll be, I never would have thought the Vette would have been faster, but I do road racing against them, and nothing pulls harder once they're hooked up.
Testament to what a mad machine the C6 ZR1 is, completely stock I understand, and the veyron barely inched away from it, it certainly could not shake it off, it simply eventually rolled into its 300+ more horsepower that is has over the ZR1, and the Bugatti is awd, but from a dig it struggled to get past and catch the mighty ZR1, 🇺🇸💪
Corvette sounds better. Bugatti engine in person sounds like Racer X car on speed racer😂. Go look at the old Speed Racer cartoons and listen to Racer X car. It's a giant vacuum cleaner😄!!!

@@poopinator22 wether or not the ZR1 was modified is irrelevant the Bugatti costs 10 times as much as the Corvette and the Corvette was solid competition. Price for performance nothing beats the Corvette in the world right now.

@@stephanedaigneault3666 No shot, vette would've run out of it's powerband and the veyron would keep going upto 270 mph, 200 yards is a pissfully small amount of distance for how slowly the vette was reeling the bug in
“Vette is highly modified” is a comment from people who know nothing about cars. The veyron is a modified car, and comes with 1200hp-ish? If the vette was 1200whp as well, it would’ve been an even or better turn out. It was a race between power gapped cars, which both owners were well aware
Why did they stop? if it was because the track length then why in the hell wouldn't they get a proper track? SMH the corvette has a garbage driver, they were peeling out earlier in the race.
Good questions… they stopped because it’s just a 1/2 mile race, and then you have about 3/4 mile to stop. Also the Corvette driver was actually spinning his tires at first, to heat them up… they were drag radials to help the car put all the horsepower down! 👍
Yeah, I couldn't believe how hard the Vette was pulling him in, had they got an even start and the Vette not spinning, we never would have seen the Bugatti, now, not to say that there could have been a little work done to the Vette, pretty easy to get 1200 horse+ out of the Vette, it was considerably faster.
@@blazesmooth5573 Don't know what you're looking at but, the Bugatti came from behind with a massive run, at least 20 mph, and for that Vette to make that up and begin reeling that thing back in tells the story, including spinning through 2nd gear.
@@user-Dr. He wasn't reeling in hard tho, yea sure he stopped spinning and started to crawl back but in no way was he reeling him hard or would he have reeled him in if the race was a mile longer
