This week we take the ZR2 to horse creek for a recovery mission. Had alot of fun and learned some more navigational skills on this trip. Next week we have more mods coming ! The truck is getting lifted, so be sure to subscribe!

Nice vid. great to see this gen ZR2 getting love. You mentioned "LSD" - if stock, you have a G80 mechanical locker, not a limited slip differential. They work pretty well when taken care of, better than LSD.

Looking good man, glad to see you sticking with it! I have to know where you found a 2.5" rc lift?? I cant find anything other than body. Ps- keep up with your trans services, have to drop mine this weekend 😒 seems the prior owner added a bunch of Lucas anti-slip/leak before selling and i purchased it not knowing of course lol

Travis Campbell yea please do! I was told multiple times that all suspension lifts for the zr2 were discontinued about a year ago so i pretty much stopped looking. I see this fits both standard and zr2 packages, but the zr2 wont gain as much being higher stock. Still getting another 1.5" is way better than nothing. Pair that with a 2" BL should have no problem clearing 33s with some offset i would think.

Travis Campbell im considering SAS. picked up a new daily so i can completely overhaul the zr. im going to be under there replacing trans, all front end parts, lines, undercoating etc. and adding a lift i figure i might as well do it. Im just hesitant because i do not want to completely ruin all ride quality just to gain a couple inches. I guess ill wait to see how your lift works out

My 2001 Zr2 has over 300k and still kickin hell of a truck would not sell it for anything!

I can tell you both that is an easy fix I had the same problem with my crew cab abs and parking brake light stuck on it after about 10 years the soldering breaks down inside the ABS control module you can either go back in and fix it it's really hard to find on the circuit board inside and it's very hard to get in there without breaking it you're better off going to pull apart or Pick-n-Pull picking one up for 25 bucks that's what I did plug-and-play guys over and done

Also one last tip on the ABS control module 2000 through 2004 Kelsey Haynes models are the same pre 2000 Kelsey Haines models go back as far as 94 to the best of my knowledge make sure you get the right one you'll know by looking at it take a picture of yours before you head to the junkyard. You don't want to buy this product new it cost about $1,100 at the dealership. Or you can get a rebuilt one on eBay but I wouldn't trust that I've had bad experiences with eBay

did a brake flush on my zr2 and abs lights never came back on. they can get triggered if the module detects excessive air in the lines.

Do you know why your brake and abs lights wer On? My sten has the same lights..

Kyle Nelson it’s a Chevy,they practically come with the abs light on

It's a easy fix there are videos on how to do it. Basically take the ABS controller off, open it up solder a couple connections and put it back in. Done mine months ago and the light hasn't come on since, and still works too.

Mine randomly come off but yes it’s the board module. Bad connections cause it to come on randomly.

What year is your s-10? Curious because I’ve got 2000 blazer zr2 and it has the auto-4wd button,but I see yours doesn’t. Is there a certain package you have to have in order to get that or does it just vary by year?

different transfer case.....some are auto 4x4

@@mblake0420 as far as i know the auto bottom was added in the late models regardless the trim. its just a solnoid, they cancled the transffer case switch because it always fails. The transffer case is still the same.
