Zsa Zsa was born in 1917, and Joan's show ran from 1987-92, so she is AT LEAST 72 here ... insane beauty (and preservation). No wonder she made it to 99.
She had incredible genetics. For 74/75 she was mentally and physically in unbelievable shape. The car crash at age 85 which near killed her, and resulted in multiple strokes was the reason for the downfall in latter years.
Zsa Zsa had class unlike ANY talentless "Kardashian." And Gabor began her stage career in Vienna and was crowned Miss Hungary in 1936. She emigrated from Hungary to the United States in 1941. Becoming a sought-after actress with "European flair and style", she was considered to have a personality that "exuded charm and grace". She was charming and SEXY and that could NEVER be claimed of ANY Kardashian Her first film role was a supporting role in Lovely to Look At. She later acted in We're Not Married! and played one of her few leading roles in the John Huston-directed film, Moulin Rouge (1952). Huston would later describe her as a "creditable" actress. She was STAT material with talent. Outside her acting career, Gabor was known for her extravagant Hollywood lifestyle, her glamorous personality, and her many marriages. In total, Gabor had nine (9) husbands, including hotel magnate Conrad HILTON and actor George Sanders. Hollywood used to be full of GORGEOUS & TALENTED men & women. She also LOVED animals unlike Kim yet they BOTH were FUR HAGS. At least the still living BITCH Kim is finally no longer wearing slaughtered fur animals for "status" symbolic of wealth and cruel fashion. NOW she has designer FAUX FURS and less fear of haters.

I met Joan and her husband Edgar at Spago's in West Hollywood, while celebrating my college graduation dinner with friends. She was incredibly nice and very sincere while talking with me. Informed her I actually had tickets to her late night talk show, and to speak with someone once I was there. A few weeks later, went to her show, spoke to the man, whose name she gave me. My ex and I ended up in the VIP seats about 10 feet from the stage, and we had a fantastic evening! I was devastated when I heard of her passing, and still miss her. It would have been a non-stop laughathon to hear her rip into TWITTLER, and all the chaos of these past 4+ years! Can you imagine what she would say? 🤣 RIP Joan, thanks for the memories! 😍
I, too, had the pleasure of meeting Joan back in 1980-81. She came into my husband’s antique shop in Caesar’s Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City. She bought a lot of beautiful antique plate ware and opera fans, gloves, etc. from the 1900s. Joan had exquisite taste. She was so nice. She invited me backstage after her performance. By far she was my favorite celebrity customer.
This was a great interview. I really liked Zsa Zsa Gabor. Despite Joan's comments in which she was trying to extract some really juicy information and in a somewhat degrading way, Zsa Zsa was able to hold her own and answer the questions with a flare of her own. It was very humorous and entertaining... and they both look great.
This is for all those old hags over 60, please leave your children a will. Zsa Zsa’s daughter died homeless at only 68 years of age and Zsa Zsa’s husband got everything. I truly believe she could have lived another 30 years if she had money. So sad :(

Before 2010 when she broke her hip, despite being confined to a wheelchair Zsa Zsa was fully with it and did what she did or did not want to do. He frequently tried to get her to go to outings she declined heartily, back in december of '07 she was out getting her hair done the paparazzi were snapping pictures she was barking at him to hurry up and get her in the car and get out.
I think she didn’t want the public to see her in bad health. I was disappointed her last husband took photos with her on her deathbed. Zsa Zsa was old school, Hedy Lamar was the same and didn’t want to be seen in bad health and older.

Amazing that Joan knew how to ask just the right questions, nobody else would dare to ask these questions, but somehow Joan knows her language and stays within appropriate protocol for ZsaZsa.

The Gabor sisters were players, didn't you know? They played the field, so to speak, and I just love it. Women who enjoyed themselves, had fun, despite what men say women were supposed to be. They were very progressive for that particular era.👍

Remember the time Zsa Zsa Gabor was doing "40 Carats" at a dinner theater and she refused to go on with the show until the people in wheel chairs were moved away from her line of site when she was on stage? She wasn't afraid to show who she really was.
She knew BRANDING early. She knew that having a bunch of OLD ELDERLY CODGERS in wheelchairs front row at her show would take away from her mystique and make her look like an aging has been! She wanted to be seen as the eternal youth and beauty which she was!
Sadly, Zsa Zsa is a shell of her former glamorous self. She is no longer the party girl that we have come to know. Even though her sisters Eva and Magda, her mother Jolie, the Nixons, the Fords, the Reagans, and Merv Griffin are all in a better place place today, Zsa Zsa is still with us. But she's in very bad shape. Personally, I believe that she became reclusive and depressed after Eva died.
There was a time where Zsa Zsa was the queen of guest appearances on every show. I had 3 friends 🔙. Their names were Amy, Naomi and Diana, nicknames were (Tata, Chicky and Zsa Zsa the beautiful VA VA voom one). Only eight husbands love her. I remember when Liz Taylor passed away, it was reported by her husband on ET News she was bedridden in 2011, and was very sad. (Zsa Zsa was once married to Conrad Hilton, Luz to his son Conrad Jr).
In 1968 when i worked in the Coconut Grove Theater (Dade Co. /Miami) ZsaZsa came backstage into Eva's dressing room. I could not believe her face. A solid mask. Her eyes moved in their sockets and her mouth formed tight words. Ouch. All superficial.
Now this was when Joan was at her best, truly funny. Not to say she wasn't before she died but she was a bitch and would fly off the handle for no reason. Zsa zsa is one of a kind. I heard back in the late 80's or somewhere around that time that drs had checked out her face and could find no evidence of plastic surgery. Now she is in her 90's so I think it is too late for her. She was funny though.
Oh these beautiful, funny, joyful, truthful women! What have the wokeists deprived us of! I knew Joan well. I wish I'd known her sparring partner, the beautiful, hilarious, equivalent Zsa Zsa. Joan respected her enormously. But we wouldn't be allowed to listen to them now
I didn't like Joan as an interviewer. Always trying to turn an interview into a stand up routine. Also Joan always seems like she's yelling her words. She never talks in a normal tone...always excited almost yelling. And she likes to go for shock value where she can at anyone's expense - even the person she's interviewing
Time to score the fries thought on awakening from her mother's beauty sleep but before that she needed to think of somewhere to wash and take a dump. No beauty products for a disinherited poor girl. The best she had to look forward to was the liquid soap from the communal dispencer in some lady's lavotory. Still, at least she would have clean hands whilst tucking into a few bags of fries, half empty ones, before her next siesta.
