It's an L twin, not parallel. My wife had that bike, and its the same 937cc motor she has in her Monster+... Makes around 111hp at the crank, nice torque though, and comfortable AF. It's not the same motor that's in my Streetfighter V2 or the Panigale V2. Similar size L twin, but mine makes 153hp at the crank...
@@SludgedB Maybe 30 years ago... Not any more. Modern Ducati's are extremely reliable. Had 14 of them now... The new Multistrada V4, the first valve check is 37,000 miles.
I have a Yamaha R3 and a Ducati 950S. Both are great, and no problems with either of them. Sadly a lot of people want to keep trying to convince themselves and others that they should only buy Japanese. Buy whatever you want - modern machines are generally reliable enough that it is just personal preference now. That said, I have heard that some Honda Goldwings haven’t been so lucky lately…
@@rns6889 I had the 2019 Panigale 959 and then went through like 7 or 8 bikes and am now on the SF V2. Had 35 motorcycles since 2005, plus 13 or 14 from my wife.
Wait, I just watched that and he said Inline 4... lol Wow. Ducati doesn't make an inline 4, and I don't know that they ever have. That's weird that he would spend that money on a Ducati and not know anything about it... Ducati offers L Twins and V4's... and now they have a single cyl motard...
@@imthatguy4011 Yeah, the L-Twin has been their iconic design for generations.. but in order to keep up in racing against the I4's, they needed a 4 of their own, so they came up with their V4, that now appears in the Panigale, Diavel, Multistrada and the Streetfighter... Their Panigale V4R with the optional Akra exhaust, cranks out 234hp. It's completely mental.... lol
@@imthatguy4011 You'd have to be very new not to notice the difference between riding a four and a twin. They are not remotely similar, although I haven't tried the Italian V4s like the Aprilia and the Panigale. But in-line? Seriously...
@@LoopsFroott an L-Twin is basically a V2 but rotatetd forward so 1 cylinder almost lays down completely. ducati just calles it an l-twin for branding reasons :)
He did say it was an in-line 4, didn't he? Didn't he? Mind you, bit of a daft question. I don't think Ducati have ever made an in-line 4. Anyone who knows what a Ducati is would know that (let alone a Ducati owner).
Yeah, I get it. You should definitely know the specs of a bike you own. I have no desire researching information about Ducatis. I will never own one, so what's the point. Too busy with life and actually riding my motorcycle.
