Show me a 1 br apartment in Manhattan, Boston, or any major U.S. city for less than 300% MORE than a luxury apartment in Bangkok. A very nice modern studio just 2 miles from downtown on a train line with a pool, etc. is under $400. Show me one in Chicago for less than 500% more. Show me how the violent crime and murder rates compare, etc. etc. This video is one big lie. Your conclusions are so wrong that it makes your agenda very suspect. What a joke!

No people will retire in those tourist area, move away and price will drop, also it could be expat no money already, their pension shrinking with inflation.

He totally missed the part of this story how the found the body using the GPS of the rental car they used in the kidnapping. The girlfriend had rented the car. So I doubt they were innocent after all.
Nice key points thank you for sharing, although you talk about the value of money but there is no comparison as to how much is it actually. I know that all places are different but a comparison in the form of how much something costs is the rental of a property $400 or $1,000 per month for how many bedrooms or is a meal 2.00 or 10.00 for a single person or how much for 2 people is why I watched your video.
Yes my adopted son lived in Thailand. He had a bad family life and stayed with me after being kicked out of schools he moved to Phuket. He smoked canabis but nothing else , he died from an overdose of heroin ! Given to him by two Germans ! Always wondered what happened to these Germans!
its not worth it getting into fights, I almost got bet up a few times in my home country for stupid pride, now in my 30s walking away i realise is the greatest power.
One day all drugs will be legal and regulated under the law and this stupid nonsense will stop. Why do we gift a $350 billion Industry to knuckleheads like this?
To really know if one can LIVE or RETIRE in Chiangmai it must take more than 4 months! You are qualified to talk about a Short Stay. Just like those who spent 3 days in Chiangmai and tell us what to do. I can just get a pamphlet from the Tourist Office.

that's true statistics, here in the Philippines the government does not focus on infrastructure improving the islands internet and power utilities, they just focus to become rich on their own purse haha.
I retired in the Philippines years ago. I recently visited Thai and I must admit that my first impression was good. I'd definitely give Thailand a try if I wasn't married to a Pinay. The only thing sort of challenging in Thailand is the language barrier in many cases. Thailand just seems like a real Asian country compared to the Philippines which feels like a half Asian half Central American country.
Most filipinas who marry aging foreigners usually come from poor families . Well educated filipinas and those from well off families do not fall for foreigners particularly old men . These filipinas who succumbed to foreigners despite the big age gap do it for money, they see it as a way out of poverty. Marriage between a filipina and foreigner of the same age, socio economic status and educational attainment poses no doubt. Many of your descriptions seem sugar-coated maybe because of insufficient research on your part, and many of your observations cannot be considered generalizations about the Philippne culture.
Just an FYI, I'm from Canada, and our healthcare system is falling apart. I'd totally believe that Thailand has better healthcare than here. The numbers might be right! Perhaps we used to be the best in the world, but we aren't anymore.

You Filipino woman only want to marry a foreigner for a better life in a western country and money for your family. Marry an older man, go to his country, divorce him, get a job and support your poverty stricken family back in the Philippines. Folks never ever ever marry a filipina gold digger. This happened to me and I have never married again
