I have tip for beginners also. When i practiced, i found its easier to hit the frequency if u try to do it with the mostly resonating sound or tone. So first try all the comfortable tones u got, and chose the one that you actually feel resonate your mouth. you can feel it on yout ttoth, tounge, lips and the whole head. also open your mouth for a little hole, it makes more easy to sense the resonsance. I you found that, try to stretch your throat as if trying to make it big, open up in every direction and bumm there it is. Warning if it hurts, you trying too hard, dont force, try to do it a bit differently. As you experimenting with it, you will find the way. I hope it helps to smoeone 😄 As i would describe it, its a regular sound or tone amplified with a hollow throat.
Check out these two videos of The late great Roy Clark playing this very tune: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--xssnp7R51A.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lxDQQDF6j0Y.html I'd like your opinion on his technique and style. I always found him to be the greatest guitarist of my generation, folks born in the 60's
I don't know beans about music, so please forgive me for not knowing this: what's the significance of playing without nails? Is there more to it than personal preference? Does it sound different than using your fingernails as picks? Thank you to anyone who can help me out here.
Hey Brandon! I know this may be a long shot but would you be able to tell me what type of microphone(s) you use for your recordings? I’m looking to invest into some quality recordings and have fallen in love with the audio you procure! Thank you so much friend hope this reaches you are a huge inspiration:)
Hi! No but my course for absolute beginners is Classical Guitar Pro which you can find here classicalguitar-pro.com/p/classical-guitar-pro That courses takes you from knowing nothing all the way to playing your first recital. Often people buy both courses (you get a big discount) and they take the no nail course second. If you have any other questions, just message me at Brandonackerguitar@gmail.com
Question: so I am an aspiring metal vocalist and every time I try to do this technique it leads to a scream instead of throat singing, am I just used to the screaming technique that I disallowed myself to utilize the throat singing techniques

They just get richer and richer as the price goes up. However it’s a very steep point of diminishing returns. I don’t see why you’d need to go beyond the 2k guitar unless you have serious money laying around
