Hi there! We’re Jackie, Jack, and Emma! We purchased just over 10 acres in the beautiful Monadnock region of New Hampshire in 2016, and are working our land to build a more sustainable life for our growing family.
Currently, we have a large garden that we use to grow as many vegetables as we can, and are in the process of planting a small orchard. We harvest our own firewood, and are working towards being self reliant on ourselves for meat in the near future, through raising our own pastured pork and chicken, as well as hunting and fishing.
Expect videos of our day to day activities, as well as Kubota tractor videos and other reviews and how-to videos.
Periodic sales of organic whole chickens, forest raised pork shares, and more. Email us for availability.

I bought the same greenhouse and it sits in my Backyard. I have secured it as much as possible BUT living in Northern ireland , were is always Rain and sorm, i don't think it will last long ? The back is against a Fence , and i am wondering if i get some wood , place it on the inside of my shed and screw it through the Fabric into the Fence, would this work or would make it weaker and may rip the Plastic ?
PLEASE don’t be unnecessary CRUEL. Swimming until you drown is an awful way to die. Water isn’t necessary to catch them because they can’t crawl out of the bucket.
I’ve tried everything and mine still leaks. All I want is a reliable waterer that holds at least 5 gallons and lasts more than a single year! Any advice?
Wife and I are big fans of the channel and live right in Loudon. Could have sworn we saw you looking at more tractors in July as we drove down the highway... it all adds up!
About 3PM I heard the neighbor chickens in an uproar inside their coop so I went to check what the problem was. A neighbor's pit bull was nose to nose with a rooster with only the chicken wire between. The pit bull had ribs showing, so it was not by any means an inquisitive meeting. It was predatory. But that little rooster stood up to the dog while the girls cowered inside the henhouse. It was pure OK Corral. When dog decided the rooster wasn't accessible it lowered its head to look at me. No sound. Just a " I can take her" stare.
Hehe, useless, female clucking noises from the human - just teaches them that she's not a threat, is foolish & is to be ignored. Western women need to STOP acting like timid sex pets & start acting the way they were meant to be: competent partners to men to rule over creation with common sense & wisdom.
Try to look up back blades for blower I know Pronovost blower have some but you can’t really see it well in the cab it’s a guessing game till you learn your machine
When I did commercial lots with my inverted I used it a lot like a scraper to did it in one pile then I blew it just make sure you’re pto is turned on before you try to blow snow
thanks for the information on the description box. that's actually very useful. I'm going to purchase one this week. your video gave me the exact insight I needed to make the right purchase!
Dude I set the Trap exactly how you showed with sunflower seeds water and Stick. Went inside the house to chill for about 15 minutes and went to check the Trap and found a chipmunk. Relocated far away in the next town. Thanks, fastest I ever trapped anything I'll keep up the Trap it works 💪 👍
This is exactly what I do, I learned it from a Marine who loves gardening. It works! He calls it “swimming lessons” lol. One thing you forgot to mention… clear those traps quickly… the stench is awful
Excellent tutorial. Thank you. Recently began using a BX1870. Love it. As I mow, I must hold the throttle lever or it will begin backing down. Not a show stopper but a bit of a pain. Is the remedy the same? Thanks.
Box blade not enough weight. Stumb grinder not enough 600lb backhoe makes it way safer to lift rocks like that. How ever you can still tip it with that so chains and dragging was safer adding chain hooks best thing ever
Well, besides the rear to front pto conversion and hydraulic, I've seen some with mid mount ptos, and Im sure there's front ptos out there, too. On larger tractors, that is. (Edit)
I have a Benchmade 940 but after watching your video I decided to check this CRKT out. I’ve always liked it but was overwhelmed by how many models of this they have and also have been hung up on blade steel. I’ve had some CRKT knives in the past I’ve enjoyed like the Drifter. The 940 is great but it’s a tad big for everyday and I was a little annoyed at myself for spending so much for a knife. I’ve had the M16 for almost a week now and I’m really enjoying it. I never thought I would buy another partially serrated knife but they sure are useful for cutting rope. Also I’ve always loved tantos. Also going against the grain for me is black coated blades but I love it. Just the whole aesthetic of this knife is pleasing and I never saw a frame lock with such solid lockup. They are $40 at Bass Pro. I even got a second as a spare. Your review was spot on. Thank you.
Hey 👋 Thanks for sharing this insightful video about the homesteading way of life! Here in Australia, we've never had a Homesteading Act, so I hadn't heard of homesteading until I discovered American RU-vid channels. Growing up, we just called it farming or alternative living, so I never really thought of myself as a homesteader. Your video was very interesting and informative. Keep up the great work!
We’ve made something similar. Our sunflower seeds end up sinking before catching. We got to work once, with peanut butter and 2 sticks, precariously placed. You also have to make sure water not to high, darn things can JUMP!!!
Murph is beautiful! I have a cream legbar rooster, as well. He's actually a backyard mix, but looks like yours. He also was beat up...by his own son! Now, your wife sounds like me. About at 9 months old, his first spring...we gave the son to a good family with 8 hens.
