i love that scene of pearl taking a nibble of steven’s homemade cookie cat because it shows her progression as a character. at the beginning of the show one of her defining traits was her hatred of food. the fact now she can willingly take a nibble of food like that and actually enjoy it instead of faking anything to make steven happy is actually amazing.
Jord plz if you care for your subs you will answer my question about this one song you used at the end of one your walking dead videos. The lyrics go like this “ I said I loved you and you didn’t say it back, don’t be such a pain I know you like it up the ass” plz give me the name of the song ??!!!
I agree the smoky quartz and jasper fight was cartoony(even tho it is a cartoon) but I try to look past that since sardoyonx garnet rainbow 2.0 and smoky quartz are my favorite fusions and she’s up there so I gotta at least try to look past it
I liked lapis in the beginning but i don’t really care for her no more because lately she has been switching up from bubbly to goth and I just had enough
I’m just sad because jord was 11 when he drew Steven and it turned out like that and I’m 10 and all ready can animate I just need to learn how to animate running😭
I gotta say, your take on Something Entirely New, and Drift Away is a fat leaking discharge L, but that isn't a personal attack, me saying that, you're great.
I have the best Steven Universe theory You guys remember that episode when G Steven find the tape with his name on it and during the tape Rose dose "the star thing" that happens at the end of every episode what if someone is recording all of it on the same camera and at the they keep doing "the star thing" and not they what if Rose was doing it she was recording thought Steven
My favorite character is Bismuth. I am pretty squarely in the "Bismuth did nothing wrong" squad and, aaaall of Rose/Pink's other actions aside, the one thing she did that I truly find unforgivable and make me both dislike her as a character AND think she is a bad person is what she did to Bismuth. Like, Rose had no way to know that Steven would 1) find Lion, who she did not even properly leave to him and 2) inherit her powers in a way that let him access Lion's mane. Rose honestly was prepared, whole-heartedly and with resolve, to let Bismuth stay bubbled forever and be stuck in that mane. And then she TOOK BISMUTH'S IDEA AND EXECUTED IT because she KNEW it was the GOOD AND RIGHT option but she didn't want Bismuth to find out her secret. And after fighting and bubbling her, she STOOD BY THAT. She stood by it until she gave her gem to Steven and stopped existing- at ANY point she could have decided to be a decent person, come clean about who she was to the Crystal Gems that survived, and unbubble Bismuth to try and talk things out. But she valued her secret and her image over Bismuth's LIFE and the TRUTH. She was CONTENT to know that Bismuth was away in a bubble where she'd never make things uncomfortable again. Bismuth was the ONLY crystal gem that QUESTIONED ROSE'S AUTHORITY AND DECISIONS and what did Rose do? Yeah, all of that. When I see people talk about why they dislike Rose/Pink it's always some dumb thing you can explain by "character development" but I don't see people talking about her and Bismuth enough, imo. Bc she DIDN'T get better after what she did- it was a decision she made and kept making for thousands of years until she intentionally left without addressing what she'd done. She was a coward up until the very end, bc Bismuth would not have hurt ANYBODY on Earth and she was shown to be extremely open and level-headed, aside from reacting to the trauma of what Rose had done to her. Keeping her bubbled was so unbelievably selfish. But, Bismuth is AWESOME. I think she's the FIRST person and definitely the first gem to see Steven and say "you don't need to be like Rose, you can be BETTER. Be yourself." because BISMUTH KNEW ROSE WAS FLAWED. Sure, she had a moment of paranoia and fear and attacked Steven and accused him of lying, but you can see by the end that she realizes she was wrong and was just lashing out. "You really are better than her" is SUCH A LINE. And Bismuth was so open-minded, she accepted the new Crystal Gem past-times so readily, and she accepted Steven. I like their relationship, and Steven unbubbling her for Garnet's wedding was beautiful. Bismuth loved Earth but she also loved freeing the gems from the diamond's tyranny, and she was loud and not letting anybody stop her. I love when she refuses to go to Homeworld with Steven and the advice she gives, that he's going into the lion's den and he needs to roar like them to make them listen. Like, she's SUCH a good character. I like her stupid jokes and upbeat attitude, there's this moment in the "For Just One Day Let's Only Think About Love" song when Steven is going down the stairs and Bismuth's eyes are sooo so SOFT watching him. She might be one of the ONLY people that knew both Rose and Steven and absolutely without a doubt loves Steven MORE. I could go on about Bismuth for ages, her episode was one of my favorites. 10/10 cool baddie
smokey quartz so low is truly unacceptable, dang... I mean the yo-yos were a little silly but why did you think the fusion of steven and amethyst was going to be anything but a giant goober that doesn't take stuff seriously?? that's Amethyst's whole character for a while and Steven only rarely pushes back on her silly antics- and with all of the bonding they'd done, I was HAPPY they didn't have some big serious fight scene but instead got to relish in the fact that they can be themselves, fused, and easily beat the biggest threat they'd ever faced. They beat Jasper while being GOOFY because they're two funny little guys- they didn't need to go sicko mode to do it! The episode takes a little turn into the yo-yo trick territory but it gets back to the serious stuff with Jasper's corruption. I dunno, hard hard HARD disagree on that one. Episodes can be serious AND silly- I don't think Smokey took away from the tone of that episode at all!
I'm probably more neutral about onion but I don't exactly care for him either since I'm tired of the young kid/baby says violent stuff or commit crimes just for the heck of it personality trope thing and it's why I don't care for certain parts of Polly's personality in amphibia. Sometimes I find onions antics entertaining but a lot of the time I just find them weird and wish there could have been some insight as to why he does the things he does. Like as an example one of the scenes I like with onion is in future boy zoltron where he's about to run into funland with a crowbar and zoltron/Steven tell him if he isn't careful he sees prison bars in his future onion thinks for a second runs off and then comes back with a ski mask.
Bruh, Season 1 Peridot was, no cap, the GOAT. She had it all until Season 2 Episode 25, Message Received, where she backtalked Yellow Diamond and called her a clod. Yeah, after that point I hated her. She buried her own grave and every time I see her, I get pissed no cap. And I quote all of this from Season 2 Episode 25: "And what do you know about the Earth?!" Yellow Diamond yelled at Peridot. "Apparently more than you! You... CLOD!" Peridot yelled at Yellow Diamond which made Yellow Diamond get super pissed.
