Not in that implementation. That was introduced a few years later. The current models automatically steer and select the correct gear automatically, changing from Reverse to Drive and back to Reverse as needed to line the vehicle up.
Next time try talking your way through the repair. Where are you hooking and turning the tool, is there any visual indication as to tool hook placement?
It would not be a simple retrofit due to the radar sensors involved. The S600 has no visible Parktronic sensors visible on the bumpers but instead has much larger radars located behind the bumpers. It was changed in 2010 which used the small sensor on the impact strips that many vehicles have. It also relies on the large DISTRONIC PLUS radar located behind the grille.
Your 2007 should have the dynamic parking guide line on the COMAND screen when you select Reverse and the backup camera is displayed. The lines should move to show the trajectory of the vehicle for the steering angle to help guide you into a parking spot. The vehicles like the S600 in the video does not display the dynamic lines on COMAND but instead on the cluster.
You can if you have a 2007 with Distronic Plus. You would need to add two addtional radar sensors plus brackets to hold them to the rear bumper and then code the car with Vediamo to turn on this feature.
It activates when driving at a slow speed and a parking location is detected that is large enough for the car to fit into. It only searches on the passenger side. To search for a parking spot on the driver side you activate the left turn signal. The P in the box in the speedometer will have an arrow appear showing where it senses the parking location and the P in the box changes to blue in color. When you see this, select Reverse and the cluster will ask you if you wish to begin parking guidance? Press the OK button on the steering wheel and it activates it. Then just follow the instructions on the cluster.
Thanks! I actually acquired the laptop in Egypt! During a trip there, my team and I were researching some pyramids and were fortunate enough to locate this gem, and it still worked! After getting permission from the correct authorities, it was gifted to me and I make every effort to not alter its appearance, including the dust. It makes for an excellent conversation piece for sure! Glad you liked the video!
It has been a challenging year, but I know I am not alone in that regard. As I am writing this, it is in the -ºF temperatures, and -30ºF and lower. On top of that, my Mom has will be in th5 hospital this Christmas, which is obviously not desirable. Still have the S550? I must thin out some of my Mercs. Have accumulated too many!
@@nanopiebald yup, still have the Mercedes and it’s running perfect. Had some issues over the year but sorted them out. Hope your is doing better and merry Xmas
The VMAX set for an S600 for sale in the US market is limited to 130mph. It has been long removed via ECU tune flashing the ME 2.7.2. Also, US vehicles do not have the Winter Tire Limit option enabled in the cluster, so it is not a setting available (unless turned on coding the IC for it) on US vehicles.
@@nanopiebald oh I didn't know that. It's a shame to limit just at 130 such a big engine. By the way also the car is totally capable to handle higher speed.
Hi man. I saw ur ex videos and i need ntg 3.0 or newest version for my s class. I can’t find anywhere so i need ur help. Can u send me files ? If this possible thank u. My email szraydn@hotmail.de
Sounds like there have been some exhaust mods, one of our customers is about to install a whipple kit on his S55, cannot wait to see what that makes power wise, Love the S, just a little heavy without the extra power. awesome car!
Thanks! I have always been a fan of the W124/E-Class myself and never thought about an S-Class. and then I purchased an W221 S600. I was looking for comfort for my wife so she would not be in pain due to a bad back when going on vacations, and also looking for something with a little power to go with it - I had driven an E320 CDI for a few years and loved it, but having owned two W210 E55s previously, and other domestic performance/muscle cars, the S600 seemed like it would meet what I was looking for. I then was asked to service this W220 S55, and I had never owned a W220 (or an M113k-powered vehicle, but have been around many and love the platform). It seems the M113k has the same reliability as the M113 AMGs without the Kompressor, and after I drove this one, I immediately fell in love with the additional comfort of the S-Class, as well as the fact you rarely see them on the road. Word has been out about the performance per dollar the E55 provides, and they are much more common (and a great car, too!). I thought the S55 would be different, and would still provide the performance I was looking for. With Dodge Hellcats out there today, the M113k isn't the fastest production sedan anymore, but with some mods it would certainly give one a run for its money. I also have a V6 Buick with a snail for when I need it ;)
As you can see in the video, the video does not appear when the vehicle is moving. However, after an SDCard is inserted with a specific file on it that Windows CE (the OS that is driving the COMAND), it executes the code on the SDCard and if you put the correct instructions in the file, manipulate the data on the COMAND such as Driver Distraction, or if you are very patient, change the startup brand from Mercedes-Benz to AMG (which is not a built in function of the NTG 2.5.)
