This video demonstrates how to update the NTG 3.0 COMAND found in the 2007-2009 US and 2006-2008 ECE COMAND to restore accurate Date/Time Functionality.
Download had been removed as Daimler AG has released an official, supported update to resolve this issue. This was only intended to help the community when no other fix was available. Now that the situation has changed, I do not want to interfere with the relationship between Daimler AG or MBUSA and their customers. Please see your authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer for having your unit updated. This was not at the request of Daimler AG or MBUSA, but as a courtesy to to allow them to manage their customer relationships as they see fit. Thank you.

I tried going through the engineering menu but when I exited it I can only access the AC line and seat bolster functions. What can I do?

Now that Daimler AG has taken the responsibility of installing this update at their dealers, the file has been removed so they can take care of their clients the way see fit. Contact your local dealer and they can arrange to install the update, or an internet search I am sure will turn up the fie I posted. Thanks!

On japanese market car I can't enter the engineering menu,is there other combination for it?

@@riivits You can attempt entering the menu by not pressing the first button (asterisk, "*", or favorite button, and on later models rear sunshade)

@@bilouwanadoofr1 Since Daimler has released the official version (which are the same bits) through the official channels, I feel it would be better for them to take care of their customers up to their standards and me not interfere with that interaction. They were cordial enough not to request me to remove it, which I am thankful for, and it also served as a fix until they released the official version. I am sure you can find it posted online on some forums, as it is a very small file.

Press display off, then move big knob to the right, press massage and mute buttons simultaneously. Quite tricky, first move knob, then press buttons

Loran BELLANI Hi - everything is clearly explained in the PDF file that a included in the download, from writing the data to a CD-R or CD-RW or DVD+R or RW. The instructions on how to access the menu to carry out the update without a dealer diagnostic tool present is also explained in the PDF. It is highly recommended to review the PDF it’s entirely before starting the procedure. What part are you have problems with?

ahmed mega It will work with a C216. Not a C215 (2000-2006 US model).

The file that you give us in the zip format has to be unzipped and there will be 5 files. Those 5 files need to be put on the CD. “The MD5 of the ISO file is d316983fcc0a9e3d8090959524c80f2b. Use this to ensure you have a non‐corrupt file.” How/where do you use this?

You should only see two files. An ISO, and a PDF. If you are seeing additional files from the ZIP, you are likely extracting the contents of the ISO which you do not want to do. To generate the MD5 checksum, it depends on what operating system you are running. What OS do you need to calculate the MD5 with?

@@nanopiebald Thanks for helping me. My OS is Windows 7. I used Win MD 5 to check your ISO file. It’s a perfect match. Instructions were fine until I reached “the COMMAND will restart and “software Missing will appear.” Instead, the following message appeared: Software - Update Error on update Please remove disc 0x1101 No valid update CD found” What do you suggest I should do? Would you be willing to discuss on Skype?

@@mikep6233 If your MD5 value matches, that is a good indication you have a solid non-corrupt download. What software are you using to write the disk image ISO to the blank media, and what media are you using (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, manufacturer)?

2 files and one folder the files is CD_INFO.CDI&CONFIG.CDI and the folder is named HEADUNIT
