And is this truth, actually its a zoom lens. Because you have this crop functions (windows) and with the 60MP pixels you can crop to like 50mm or 70mm and thats the same like using a 50mm or 70mm lens. Am I right?
a lot of people complain about the AF, did you shoot manual or was AF good for you? i come from sony and consider selling a7rv with lenses to get the leica..
Very interesting vid and your model was perfect. When you shoot portraits do you have any rules to apply with such 28mm to avoid deformations etc ? Aperture to capture the whole visage is around 2.8 to 5.6 ? Again a great video , just bought the Q3 and starting to discover it's assets
Excellent work yet again! Giada is an incredible model, full of edgy sensuality. I love the way she constantly moved in small increments, for you to capture her. The 28mm lens suits the moods you create, as it adds environmental context and textures. Bravo!
I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed the street photography segment! I absolutely loved capturing those moments in Milan too. And Street Photography is my favorite genre. Milan is such an inspiring city for photographers. In fact, I'm planning to go back and dedicate an entire video to street photography. Stay tuned for that, and thanks for your support
Well you already know what I think!! XD But, yeah... superb video. Brilliant. Each one improves on the last one. Classy, Jet-set beginning that really set the tone. The two models idea was fantastic. Loved the variety in your shots and locations. The technical improvements in your videos did not go unnoticed. Anxious to see what's next and what other location you take off to, France, Germany, London? It's very cool, unique and exciting. Keep them coming.
Thank you so much for your continuous support and thoughtful feedback! 😊 It means a lot to me to hear that you're enjoying the progression and variety in my videos, and you know how much it means. The journey with each model and exploring new locations is always an exciting adventure, and I'm glad that comes through in my work. As for the next destination, I'm just as curious and excited as you are! 😅 as I have no idea yet 🌍📸 Thanks again! 😄🙏
Intimate portraiture well done and in an easy way. The young model Camilla is so important for she is cute and well built. Alessandro you have a nice video on less sophistications but so sensitive way. Nice light available.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you appreciated the intimate portrayal and the simplicity of the video. Camila's natural charm and the available light played a huge role in creating the mood for this portrait. Thanks again for your support! 🙏📸
That was a useful video. I'm not a fan of tattoos but each to their own. I just don't understand why models don't smile, she looked so prettier when she smiled.
Thank you for watching and for your comment! I'm glad you found the video useful. Regarding the smiling, in fashion photography, models often go for a more neutral expression as it allows the focus to be more on the attire and the mood of the shoot rather than their personal expression. It's a style choice that helps to create a certain aesthetic. Thanks again for your input and support! 😊📸
Thanks for your comment! Indeed, as a photographer, I'm always exploring new perspectives and techniques, like choosing the 28mm lens for portrait photography with the Leica Q3. If you have any specific thoughts or questions about this approach, I'd love to hear them! 📸
I’m glad that you shot her in “the soft box room” as I call it! Superb model! I’ve always found when shooting lingerie that high heels can really improve posture, even if the shoes are not “in shot”. When they are in shot they can add an “edge” to the shots. Strange as my speciality back in the day was photographing bands such as Duran Duran, Ozzy Osbourne and Nirvana! None of which would look that good in high heels!!😂😂
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your insights! I agree, the 'soft box room' really did wonders for the shoot. I appreciate your perspective about high heels on how they can enhance the shots. It's fascinating to learn about your background in photographing iconic bands like Duran Duran, Ozzy Osbourne, and Nirvana - what an incredible experience that must have been! And yes, I can't quite picture them in high heels either... but sounds quite interesting more than fashion photography 😂. Your transition from band photography to more fashion-oriented work sounds like an amazing journey. Thanks again for watching and for the great conversation starter! 📸🎸
Super Street, też od kilku miesięcy fotografuje Leiaca Q3 ,mam pytanie techniczne odnośnie ustawień widzę że przysłona 5.6 a czas w trybie A a jaki pomiar światła i jaki tryb AF używałeś. Pozdrawiam Marek z Polski.
Hi Marek from Poland, Thank you for the kind words and for following my videos! It's great to hear from fellow photographers, especially those who share the experience of using the Leica Q3. Regarding your technical question, for my light metering, I usually rely on the 'multi field' setting. I find it provides a balanced exposure in most situations by evaluating various parts of the scene. As for the autofocus mode, I often use 'eye/face and body detection.' I hope this information helps you in your photography journey. Keep up the great work with your Leica Q3, and I'm looking forward to more interactions with our photography community!
Thank you for appreciating the shoot! I apologize for the audio imbalance in the video - I'm still in the learning process when it comes to video production. I've taken your feedback to heart, and I believe I've fixed the issue in my latest video. Please do check it out and let me know your thoughts. Your feedback is invaluable as I continue to improve. Thanks again for your support!
Definitely the best of your boudoir shoots. You chose the right brush to paint with using that wide angle. Quite nice. She was spectacular too. Fantastic model. The different locations were really cool. I liked those counter shots with her reflection in the counter top, using the wide angle. very cool. The camera angles were also awesome. Well done, Alessandro.
Hey Allen, Thanks so much for your kind words! It means a lot, especially coming from a friend whose opinion I value greatly. It really did feel like that the 28mm is the right 'brush' for painting these visual stories, adding depth and a unique perspective to each shot. And yes, the model was absolutely fantastic - she brought so much life and energy to the shoot. Your feedback is always encouraging and inspiring. Thanks again for the support, Allen. Looking forward to catching up soon and sharing more photography adventures! P.s. Final Cut was a great tip ;)
May I ask you how do you get your models? Is it through simple IG DMs or contacting model agencies? Would love to know that! This series is one of my favorites of you. The color grading and natural look works perfect.
Thanks for the kind words and for appreciating the color grading in this series - it's always great to hear that the work resonates with viewers! Regarding your question about finding models, it's actually a mix of various methods. Some of the models I work with are professionals I've met through past work engagements. Others I've connected with via social media - some reached out to me, and in some cases, I initiated the contact. And yes, model agencies are also a part of the mix, as they sometimes send models my way. Again, thank you for your support and interest in my work!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! It's always a pleasure to work with someone who brings such beauty and energy to the shoot. Your encouragement means a lot to us and motivates us to continue creating content that you'll love. 😊📷
Great tips and some really great shots Alessandro 🙏👏 In addition to the high-level tips, however, it would be great to hear your thought process around what you are trying to achieve with a given photo, in terms of light and background among other factors 😎🙏
Thank you so much for your appreciation and feedback! I'm glad you found the tips helpful and enjoyed the shots. 🙏👏 Your suggestion about delving deeper into the thought process behind each photo is a fantastic idea. Understanding the interplay of light, background, and other elements is crucial in portrait photography. In future videos, I'll try to include more insights into how I choose my settings and compose each shot, focusing on these aspects to give a clearer picture of the creative process. Stay tuned for more content where I'll explore these elements in detail. Thanks again for your support and great suggestion! 😎📸
