Glad you like it! The reverb is in the Quilter amp, and the delay is in the recording software, added during mixing. A large part of the clear tone is due to the Emmons push/pull pedal steel… it’s a 1978. Yes, I have a lot of steel guitars. I’ve always done a lot of buying and selling, although most of the guitars seen in my older videos have been sold. I currently have three pedal steels and four or five lap steels… I’d have to check the closets and under my bed to be sure about that! 😂😂
It’s a great value for the money. It costs half of what a new pro single-neck pedal steel costs. It’s actually a professional pedal steel, mechanically, built on a student model frame.
@@dougsteel Do you know if Mr. Earnest will still be making them? On his web, he said "Guitar orders were closed for the foreseeable future" Even if he has quit, that does not rule out the possibility of finding a used one.
@@LighthouseGospelBand 1:00 Used ones are hard to come by and they sell quickly, often for more $ than a new one costs (because there’s no wait time). Last I heard Doug was running one year behind and he stopped taking orders. I got mine a little over two years ago and he was swamped with orders at that time.
Imbibing your dulcet and beautiful tone and melody like a honeyed dessert accompanying my final dinner before the Yom Kippur fast (yes, I'm Jewish) which will end at sundown tomorrow. I'm not particularly religious, but I do observe certain rituals and remembrances to remember who I am and where I come from. Thanks again for the beautiful music, DB!
