Just a reminder: Since all episodes have aired in America, anything that happened on the show is no longer considered a spoiler. So if any video title reveals something you didn't know, remember you came on the site or my page.
Also, I cannot upload Season 1 or Season 2 Ending Montages as UMG has claimed the rights to the music. The vids will upload, but the sound is cut off.
I love that Avon and Slim recognized and remembered who Cutty was before he went to prison. Avon told Wee Bey he thinks that prison broke Cutty, no it didnt. Cutty grew out of that lifestyle and at some point you have to walk away from that life especially if you make it and have a chance to. Its easy to slip back into old ways and habits, once you outgrow them though its a different story. If Cutty was under Marlo we all know Cutty would have gotten clipped, Avon wasnt like Marlo and had respect and seen that Cutty grew and evolved. Gotta respect that he let him walk away with no repercussions
1:05 “be out there in the world in a way that, you know, didn’t happen for you and me.” Beautiful and bittersweet line. True agape love. A father putting his son’s life ahead of his own.
Avon respected him stepping up. It takes a lot of courage to admit you're no longer cut out for the one thing you know, especially to your boss. Jail just took it out of him. I'm sure his first thought when he had the kid in his sights was going back behind a body, but for life. This scene also shows why thing ended the way they did. Avon and Slim were full on respect at all times; Prop Joe, Stringer, and Marlo all valued something else over that. Who ends up in charge? Slim, the only decent one vying for the spot.
That little blonde asshole next to Carcetti was insufferable and really was the downfall of his career. Nearly every decision he advised Carcetti to do made him worse off. People like to give Carcetti shit, but they really should be looking at the slimeballs who were surrounding him.
Namonds mom is a SIcko...had no business having namond she was no good the father was better tho he was incarcerated for homicide he cared about his son Namonds wellbeing more than the mom it seemed like. Namond was a good kid....but a poser.
Sad as this may seem I don't see Dukie as becoming the new Bubbles. Rather, it's more likely he is the new Johnny or Sherrod. Bubbles had street smarts, Dukie did not.
What's funny is that this whole deal relies on Marlo cooperating, and we know by the finale that he struggles with it. Everyone is a little too happy at the thought of getting away with this when they're probably not. Marlo will definitely go back to the streets at some point, and a lot of people are gonna go to jail... heh.
I love when Rawls walks toward McNulty and the look on McNulty's face the closer he gets. He honestly doesn't know if Rawls is going to hit him or not. For the first time in the whole show, McNulty is truly humbled. He has the look of a man who knows it's all his fault...
This scene immediately made me respect Wee- Bey so fucking much. He was in the game, he knows what it’s like and once he finds out that his son doesn’t want to be involved in the game, he supports it. Wee- Bey knows how terrible the game is and he doesn’t want that for his son.
Freeman may be the best detective on the show, but Colvin is THE streets. He has everybody's respect gangsters, police, even the mayor. Here, a top dog is coming to him with his own will. Later, Stone Cold Killer Weebay trusts him with his child. Colvin is the heart of the Wire.
