She had a lot to say to her fans, to the industry, to the haters, and to the users and lost loves in this album. Clara Bow is such an incredible close for the first album of the double.
I think Clara Bow isn't about a different character. Throughout the song, she goes through eras of women who were super popular who were demanded of so much. I think the final part of "You look like Taylor Swift" is not about her, it's about the next big act. Maybe she can already see that her era as being the shiny young artist is over, and that she recognizes the cycle continues. But yeah, I think the final message is for the people like Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, Olivia Rodrigo, etc.

Great respect. Incredible difference from the typical reactions of uhhh..."So that was smokin'! You go Taylor! Woo hoo! It's the difference between skimming the headlines and actually reading the entire article and then knowing enough about journalism to know a good, factual accounting of the facts from slanted, crappy yellow journalism. I’m with you on “Fresh Out The Slammer.” I know there’s probably reason for the tempo change at the end, but it takes me by surprise every time. The only thing I can think is that the beginning is like the darker part of a relationship and it’s sped up as she’s rushing through the memories of it until it ends. She “did her time” and it slows down as she’s finally free, calmer, and going to meet the guy she’s returning to 🤷🏼♀️
Whose afraid....is a out the media who haunted her every step of the way...Radar Media tried to destroy her when she bought her Rhode Island home and decided to reposition the bolders to reinforce the deteriorating shore line... the accused her of doing it to keep people off her property & lawn, the ganged upon her so bad, but she really did a community a huge service because it made the beach much safer. Radar soon after went out if business. SLATE was another one who pounced on her, and all the Kardashian hitjobs & bombs that rained in daily. For several years Kim/Kanye paid the media in many ways to trash Taylor...it was a war that ended up in the famous lies, manipulated video tapes and phone calls with Kim/Kanye.
Now that we've seen the Paris concerts...we know how important this song is, something we didn't realize inititially upon its release, it's become a major part of the Eras performance.
The slammer song is about the same guy back when she was still a teenager and the restraining order. He actually committed some crimes and served time, unrelated to their relationship..it was then she realized that he was not for him, but Love Story came out of it, and now the Daddy song.
The Daddy song is about how Love Story came about...she was still a teenager, and her parents needed to take out a restraining order on the guy she talks about, he was wild, and her parents were completely against him. Love Story was written because of this relationship. With the recent release of this song she added some newer passages of recent relationships like Healy....everyone hated him and were throwing their arms up!

I just wanted to say, in the friendliest and most well intentioned way possible, I’m interested in what you plan to do to build a better community for artists, but I have no idea what it is, and that’s probably going to make me less likely to check it out. I know this was a reaction video, and you probably didn’t want to take up too much time talking about your own thing. But, I say if you’re going to take the opportunity to mention it, go all the way with explaining it. If you read this, I really hope I’m not coming off as an a-hole. I just feel like it would have been a little more affective to come up with some sort of concise explanation that’s more specific. I only picked up my phone to write this because it seems like you’re a very determined person, and it would suck to see you maybe not get where you want to go because you’re not selling yourself hard enough. Ok, that’s it.

I'm actually driving while listening to this and I had to pull over in a random parking lot because as Blake @1:22:21 was trying to figure out which older song was being referenced I figured it out when he was singing the passage. Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper! I believe the first four notes of the bridge of Cyndi Lauper's song are the same first four notes and in the same rhythm that Blake is singing....
