My friends and I have a server where I function as the game master. There are limited resources so they need to fight and scavenge for resources. I place pirate bases that antennas to spawn drones but also custom AI grids like missiles. Once, we were on a hydrogen search. Found an empty H2 storage base, went all the way down 3 floors underground. Only to find that when they reached the bottom. All the lights switched off, rotating red lights switched on, a sound block for an alarm. They managed to find warheads behind each large h2 tank. They decided to grind them down. If they didn't, everything would have blown up. Including them if they didn't get out in time. They said it was surprising and they loved it. Stakes were pretty high, it was their only h2 source
So...they're German space furries...christ I only said I was a scalie about a month ago and now they're in my favorite space game ._. Not sure what to think about that
I used to think that the Alien Planet (i like to call it Saberoidia) was a rogue planet that intersected the solar system and threw things out of orbit, thats why it captured Titan, Europa is around Mars, and Triton was ejected from Neptune. When they added Pertam it kinda threw that off, unless there was another solar system that collided with ours, but then there would be a second sun probably too. Perhaps actually instead of rogue planet, in the early solar system, there were two other planets? But with this information in the video, maybe the true answer is this: Space Engineers doesnt refer to us, it refers to the ancient race, when they went out to the stars they engineered a replica of some planets and moons from their home star system, but since they were so ancient, they didnt know what earth would end up looking like due to plate tectonics, they just new that it was a newly lifebearing planet and called it Eden (Which is usually what i call Earthlike in game). Maybe Pertam and Alien planet are just some other planets that were already in the system where they were building
Native german speaker here. Slight mistake, in this sentence, the last word needs to beginn with a capital e "Eden". It's a noun and the object of that sentence, so it's not written with an "e". And if the aliens became german and then wolfs, they would be german sheppards. Well, to me it's logical they became german. Which other people are precise and efficient enougth to uproot an entire civilisaation but leave markers for eventual stragglers behind? I also vote to integrate more monoliths, called the Baselith, the Dolbylith and the Surroundlith. Could make a gimmick when they're all togethre and play that old base-rich jingle for Doulby-surround-sound. Or, when placed in a pattern act as a super-energy source. Wouldn't break the game if you had to collect and transport them.
maybe they will answer our biggest question we all asked ourselves at one time.... whyyyy are we here???..... haha but like many others i do think keen will unveil a bit in the pve updates that might tie in the story of the monolith/stereolith relics that might create a story ??? well just have to see i guess O.o
I think the proto tech will be guarded by ai drones under ancient orders of protecting the shipwreck or base of proto civilization. That's an obvious thing to introduce.
Why German though? This can get sus really quickly if you think about what the Germans back in the day (circa 1930's and '40's) believed about their people
@@Zer0sLegion the way i personally interpret it is someone made the tech and they are almost a bit like a dr halsey from halo or dr valien from xcom like scientist aka they did shady stuff so they now being hunted down for their crimes that being said both did use reclaimed alien tech to make their tech so i can see us both being right in a way
The Sterolith in in German as a referance to IORN SKY! and the conspirosy theory that during WW2 german scientist's bult a UFO and fled to the darkside of the moon. and the remains of the bace is why we never see pictures of the dark side.
Really? They make a game that´s mostly played in the englisch language, they are a Czech Dev. Team and what language do they choose for their mystery???? My mother language, good old german. Okay.... i guess there are two reason why they did that: German is known to be relatively hard to learn and it´s known to be precise. It´s a nice language for scientific purposes..... and a lot of the people who brought us to space were german ones. (Yes.... Wernher von Braun is in my mind, but no: I don´t respect that guy at all. He really should have gone to prison for his time in the SS).
@@Zer0sLegion Yeah, thanks. I read that i a comment later :D Nice to know that. And: Thanks for giving this mystery some attendence. Until you posted the first video about it, i didn´t even think that thos symbols are more then art at all.
Wouldn't it be easier to get the coordinates from that thing and what I mean is instead of those kind words those symbols you can't really understand were numbers
I dunno, I haven't watched a lot of things. I've been meaning to watch it, I just haven't had the time with all the new streaming shows coming out every week.
Bro I never knew this was in SPACE Engineers, I was writing a plot for my game and I thought putting black monoliths as the center of mystery in my game was an original Idea 😭
The monolith isn't even original to the space engineers devs anyway lmao...there's literally a famous movie that it got the idea from...you must be a kid if you haven't watched it
imagine attacking prototech ships automonous drones lecft behind by ther anchents, they have lazer and plasma weaponry, maybe even shields, they become less effective when merged with human ships, due to insufficient power
