Even off topic maar wil dit toch kwijt, in beeld wordt getoond wie en wat iemand is, voorzitter, acteur, theatermaker en dichter. Dan kijk ik naar wie er op de stoel zit en dan zijn het vrouwen. Im 30 now and i grew up before social media times etc. in a very multicural amsterdam west with lots of black kids/ arab kids and every year in my basisschool sinterklaas was a huge thing. all the kids were happy, there was no negativity. black kids happy, arab kids happy, white kids happy. the racist crap started like 6 years ago with the whole woke/left/twitter era. Im still good friends with 3 of my black basisschool friends and they have nothing but good things to say about their memories and sinterklaas/zwarte piet. Sylvana simons looks at herself like some kind of redemption/messiah for the black people but most normal raised dutch black people dont really give it that much thought.

the english subtitles are a bit too blank to really narrow down what the speakers are saying. Hoffelijkheid is chivalry. Teil translating as a tub? its very lazy. A teil is like a big bucket. a tub would be too hollywood to be a definition as a teil

rauw , picled, herring is also eaten in northern Germany and in Scandinavia.. so not only Dutch eat this.. for some 'men' the smell brings associations they don' t like..
This used to be the Amsterdam folk dialect. Within the dialect there are no errors in grammar, in these examples. But from the reference language point of view, when you take these mistakes as the new norm for 400 years, you get English. Or after more than 1,000 years, French. In this "Amsterdams" there was not a big difference with ABN - General Civilised Dutch - except for the prosody. More melodic phrasing of sentences.
