1:56 as someone who would no life Overwatch when i actually enjoyed the game they are just unbelievably wrong this game is peak reminds me of old Overwatch 1 but still so different from it and i enjoy that you feel like the heros and they are mostly balanced even the unbalanced heros in this game are mainly numbers WHICH IS GREAT they can just tweak it unlike abilities like lamp in OW Edit: also it feels like there’s passion in this game like old OW1
Keep the "shareholders" and DEI away from games = win. I don't touch anymore of Blizzard game after Shadowlands and that had a pretty big DEI push in it and it turned me off as it forced you do gay quests, a long with some Tgender thing at the end of a main story. Also the new race in Dragonflight looks like it came from the DEI handbook, totally gross. Now days i stick to indie games, as none of it pushes the DEI etc down your throat.
Buildcrafting around boss mechanics because you're stuck is part of the fun. Every boss is a wall, a problem to solve. You can climb over the wall, walk around it, dig under it, get a ladder, or take you face and bash your head against it until you smash through it. You are in the DLC where the game expects you to have all the tools to your disposal. So use it. And trust me you can still beat every boss with a straight sword and dodging.
i m really scared for this game , cuz in the last survey they asked for player to tell them what microtransactions they would be ok with AND THER LIST WAS SOOO LONG AND SO SPECYFIC , FROM PAYED LOADING SCREENS TO VOICE PACKS TO ICONS NAME CHANGES , RECOLORS , AND SO MUCH MORE I COULDNT EVEN REMEMBER BUT IT WAS JUST DISGUSTING , AND THE SECOND QUESTION WAS HOW DO U WANT CHARACTERS : FREE , Half FREE Half payed, some free Mostley payed .....>> I FEAR THAT ONCE THIS BETA IS OVER AND THEY START GETTING TO THE LAUCH THE FIRST THING WE WILL BE GREATED BY IS A SEA OF MICROTRANSACTIONS that will drain the joy out of any normal person and the wallets of all the wales , i m seriously very worried for what this game will be once its fully out because of the questions in the most recent player survey
I don't mind access being difficult to get, but where they completely lose me on that is having limited skins exclusive to the closed alpha andclosed, beta. That's stupid and unfair. It should have just been icons and sprays or something. But now there's skins that most people will never be able to get, which is especially painful for collectors.
Hulk isn't the worst tank, haha. His kit is just unintuitive. Once I figured out that his leap could be charged while taking other actions, he can cling to walls, and that he has s while taking certain actions, my winrate with Hulk went up.
Tbh i would be all for a sekiro 2 that would be open world by just adding a mount and just getting the same toolkit from sekiro 1. Plus the main character have already very good ways of traversing terrains and obstacle, so in an open world all you would need is maybe a horse to be able to cross the huge distance faster, but that's all you would need to add, maybe a few enemy type too to make things interesting and a few more bosses, maybe make them use lightning so you have to lightning-reverse a bit more all throughout the game and not just at very specific point, it would force the player to have to be able to lightning-reverse more reliably. Would even make the lightning be ice or fire or different element. There are stuff they could do with sekiro still. Tbh i wish sekiro had had a dlc to diversify enemy moveset and adds more enemies, without changing the player toolkit much. I still play sekiro nowadays, im currently revisiting the game on ng+8 too.
Only certain types are collapsing due to their unpopularity in the US. In Asia they are doing great. Game developers must make games that people are asking for, not games they think the people should have.
This is the way the world has always been. Buy some stock in these companies and you may get your money back and a lot more. I am not rich but I have stocks and use my stock gains to buy my games and other things. Real life is a game too. Learn to play it.
What I think is stupid is with the new game consoles is even with the game its only good to download it and you still have to have wifi or internet to play the game....
I was skeptical mainly because of netease but I was surprised to find myself enjoying every gameplay I saw of marvel rivals. this is coming from someone who hasn't even played hero shooters. so far I can only see this flopping if the online lag is horrendous and whether or not if it'll have a bot problem.
It plays fun and it looks fun. But it looks too much like a netease game... aka.... a mobile game. This looks designed to be on mobile even though it's on pc. Naturally this game will be pushed to mobile later with many, many microtransactions.
A lot of the OW comparisons are just flat out wrong though. Like for example: - OW fans say “Groot creates a wall that’s a Mei clone” even though making barriers wasn’t invented by OW and it’s one part of several pieces of his kit none of which are anything like Mei. Hell even his wall itself acts differently than Mei healing him and damaging enemies that touch it l, he doesn’t freeze people, he’s a tank etc. -or they’ll say Iron man fly’s and has missiles that’s a Pharah clone even though Pharah literally doesn’t fly, his missiles function far differently and aren’t an ult and again his kit aside from that is entirely different. The only character that feels (kind of) like a rip is Starlord and even then he’s a patchwork of Tracer (very loosely only double gun aesthetic and a dodge roll similar to her dash), 76 with his ult but he also flies, and air shot similar to a weaker version of reapers ult. So I find a lot of the clone comments are just largely baseless and seem to be taken from a glance rather than any actual deep look or experience.
Nah, this is why the AAA studios and games are "collapsing." 1) The owners and the executives they hire do not understand games, gamers, or gaming culture 2) They don't understand that games are commercial art 3) They virtue signal for DEI money and employ incompetent activists to write and create art for the games These three points means that the games we get are poorly designed, poorly optimized, with badly written stories/characters, poor art direction that appeal to almost no one. These games are built with massive budgets in the hundreds of millions of dollars. This can only mean money losses for each game. If you want to make preachy woke trash, then go ahead, but expect very few sales, so provide a shoestring budget. If you want to make huge big budget games, you have to create characters and stories that embrace universal, transcendent themes and contexts. You have to make the games attractive to look at, characters that fulfill universal fantasies, art and worlds and stories that are globally meaningful and have timeless value. It's as simple as that.
The owner of Larian Studio's talked about this. I know absolutely next to nothing about computers except how to turn them on and use them and I stumbled on Divinity Original Sin the top of the food chain and I played it which lead me to other Larian Games because they are a cut above. Many other games are just shadows of the Larian Games so I have no interest in playing them and there are tons of people who are far better than I am at games. But the adventure is the key for me without that it doesn't work.
Covid had a big part to play, everyone was locked down with nothing to do, gaming blew up and studios scaled up thinking it was on a huge upward trajectory- then people dropped it once they could go out again.
I personally would like to see some type of build system unique to each character. A system similar to that of which is seen in Paladins. Paladins has the universal in game shop as well as the truly unique and diverse deck building which is unique to each character and the deck building is what truly makes Paladins shine and a big part of is success and longevity (IMO) and I think Marvel Rivals would greatly benefit from a system like that
i can see the meeting now. . . "ok what if we took overwatch, put it in third person and with marvel characters, and here's the thing, we actually try to make it fun.
It really is just fun, i used to be an overwatch player and came back to play this and had a blast, then went back to OW2 and couldnt believe how boring it was in comparison
I fully agree with this video. I came from overwatch and after the first 2-3 hours i kept comparing it to overwatch, and it tainted my experience, but the more I play this game, the more I realized how fun it is and I now can't stop playing it. Now pushing towards that 50 hours, my friends hate it for the same reasons i did, but they could not look past that.
