Thank you so much! I will try not to be gone so long next time 🤗 Happy to hear about what you are growing 🙌🏾 That is so exciting! What types of things are you doing with your amarth? I've grown it before but didn't really know what to do with it. It wasn't bad in a salad but that's about all I did.

Hi, glad you're doing better. The garden is very therapeutic during difficult times. I'm a newbie with both a 2tier and 3tier. I have multiple pods in the nursery... several only have 3 leaves, not 2 full sets. Do I wait until the 4th leaf comes in to move it to the garden? It's reaching the top of the nursery cover. I appreciate any advice you can give.

Thank you so much 🤗 Congrats on your new garden! I suggest when you begin to see any amount of leaves, be sure to remove the cover. It is only needed to create a humid environment to encourage the seeds to germinate. I would say just give it another week or so before you move them to the garden if you have other items growing. If this is your first garden with nothing in it, it is totally fine to move them over. The app won't have you add nutrients for a couple of weeks.

How does it work when you're growing something like a tomato plant that needs the blossom nutrient, but none of the other plants in your system need it? Do you still add it and it doesn't hurt the other plants?
@themochafoodiegardener
@themochafoodiegardener 8 месяцев назад
Sorry for the late reply! Nope, Blossom doesn't hurt it at all. The app is a "smart app," so it knows exactly how much you need to add. Essentially, they pretty much have all of the same nutrients (potassium, nitrogen, and phosphorus), just different levels in each.

I’m setting up mine now. Have you tried any aftermarket empty seed pods or nutrients by any chance?
@themochafoodiegardener
@themochafoodiegardener Год назад
I have used Rapid Rooter empty seed pods found on Amazon. I have not tested other nutrients though. I've been nervous to do so as I am not sure about the exact numbers needed for each. Good luck to you and thanks for watching 🙏🏽😊

How loud is the system?
@themochafoodiegardener
@themochafoodiegardener Год назад
I think it depends on how you have the hose. There are times I hear the water trickle and it drives me crazy. I find that it usually happens after I clean the unit. I simply move the nozzle (the one at the top that feeds the water down) in a direction that doesn't drip towards the basin. It's hard to explain but I basically readjust the flow and it stops. I also strongly suggest keeping an eye out for your water levels. It could cause your pump to not only damage but air bubbles can get caught and the hum is annoying. You can either swirl the pump in the water or I have a video that walks you through fixing your pump when it doesn't work. That will clear the bubbles as well. Otherwise, I find that the sounds are unnoticeable. I hope that helps!
