YEAH! These presets are a HUGE reason to purchase AOS products. Chris, your expertise canned into presets is incredibly valuable. I’ve been writing PID code, tweaking PID values, etc. since 2009 and I’m sick of it! I’m retired from aviation and just want to fly… AOS Rocks! And so do their Hoodies! Buy one today!
I tried this on my AOS 5 V2 with AOS Supernova motors today. There was still a bit of trilling with the master multiplier at 1. I've lowered it to 0.95 and we will see how it goes.
I'm gonna to test it today on my AOS 5 v5 + Supernova motors. Until yesterday (before installing this) I solved the problem limiting the throttle to 80%. Now I've set it back to 100% to see the effect, if I'll notice thrilling, I'll lower the value again
Hello Chris and community! Thank you for your great videos! Using this one I was able to make my quad experience much better than it was on stock settings! I have a question regarding ExpressLRS presets. Where caun I find the one, that works for my ELRS? I thought it was the Pocket Rate setting in my TX. However, the values on TX are 100Hz, 200Hz, and there are no presets for those values. I see the values on presets are 150Hz, 250Hz, and I have no such values available on my TX. What have I missed here?
Yes, they may need different amounts of master multiplier so follow the standard procedure to gradually raise master until you find the max level without oscillations.
Awwww man... I was so excited to get home from work and download these. I've been working on a tune for the AOS T3 for a week and a half and I'm stuck with a lot of propwash and oscillations. I guess it's back to the struggle...🥲 Any chance of a 3s 3" toothpick tune and filters?? TIA.. 🙏
Chris, have the Crux35, 1404 / 3500 Kv motors light Weight very efficient, Q, about Crux35 3.5” Shit frame. this is the 3rd frame I broke on grass crashes. Can you recommend a lightweight durable 3 or 4” 4/5 Mm frame that’s better than the Crux35 Frame and can use the Crux35 20 x 20 stack / 1404 M etc. any ideas Bro?
I've tried your rates on a friends AOS. Remarkably it flys worse than my Armattan Marmotte. So where's the problem Chris, poor tune or is it the case that, with the exception of the impulseRC apex, the Marmotte is still the best flying frame on the market?
Nooooooo …. I just did all this manually . . . Filter tuning. On the betafpv meteor 85. By feels. But thanks! Looking to sign up. Just procrastinating.
You keep saying "drone" in place of "frame". Regardless of that, presets are never a good idea for tuning. For rc link? Sure. Never tuning or filtering. You're gonna burn up a lot of people's shit, just wait.
Thank you so much.I am just curious is there any way to charge this battery setting without parallel cabling ? And if there is , how should I set the charger?
Great great video about filters. I've watched so many of them and this video here has finally made me understand what filter does what and how to properly use them. 🙇♂️ down to you Chris.
Only issue is we need to unpack and unsolder the whole thing every time to charge those 21700! Just kidding. How do you charge them? Just started learning about building batteries
There have been several firmware updates since this video was published. 33.39.10 - > 37.42.5 Would it make sense to repeat this test and see if anything has changed?
Nice video mate :) i’ve been telling people the pidsum limit cli commands for years now 😂 sadness as a result of master multiplier made me giggle a lot! 😂
This is so cool. Hopefully a tiny whoop test to cap it all off. The smaller you go the more I think you'll be able to find some variety and ideas for optimization. I recently built on an AOS 3.5v5 frame and used RCinpower Smoox Plus 1404 3850kv motors (9 grams ea.) paired with HQProp T3.5X2.5X3 propellers & using 4s batteries. I have no idea if this was optimal but it'd be nice to hear what you think, @ChrisRosser. I'm also curious if you'll find optimal settings for ESCs with these smaller motors as well.
NONE of my graphs have this long white shape in the red. All the white is at the begining of the graph. and the colors only go to 60%. What am I doing wrong?
