I have two of these watches. The best lume of any watch I’ve owned or seen. I wished I could get my other watches relumed with the same formulation. Only watch that came close are my older Ball watches which need to be sent in for new tubes.
For a 21 yo, this 62mas or a Seiko SUR307? Torn between the two, it will be his first watch. Already bought the seestern, but I find it a bit thick as a GADA... Any advices?!!
I had mine about 6 months when it started to run between 5 minutes to half an hour slow, very disappointing and not the first Chinese watch I've had problems with
Good comments. Seestern has changed the bracelet and now uses female end links in Version 4. I'm seeing price of $128 on a rubber strap on Ali Express as I write, but I think there are further discounts. I wish someone would do a head-to-head comparison of this watch and the actual Seiko 62mas.
Since I discovered the irukandji watch, I've been trying to obtain a purple one. They've got everything right in terms of design, they look fantastic. However there was only 50 purple ones produced and they've all sold out. What I struggle to understand is, if there's a market for something why end it's production 🤔
🇫🇷 Tandorio are certainly the current quality/price watches (cheapest) with a NH35 or even NH34 inside 👍 i'm confident in repairing / adjusting them and buying non-working "fried" ones too 🍟🍳🧑🍳
I'm a year late but great review! The end links are now female and I've just ordered one on the 11.11 AliX sale with the bezel lume and the extra strap for £117. Looks awesome in the blue and red (I'm trying to get more colour in the collection so I went for the red) and should wear lovely on my 6.75 inch wrist, fingers crossed
The red looked Amazon! I also just picked it up for the same price. Feel like we got super lucky buying them later than other people. Also got a San Martin pilot watch for $86!
@@minimalistmaverickyes, I tend to wait 6 months or more because they tend to sort out issues and bring in new versions at lower price points. I have enough watches on my list to be able to wait!
What else is on your list? I was hesitant on my choices, bc i'm not familiar with ali express (this was my first time). But bc of the holiday coupons / deals, I felt like i couldn't pass it up. especially seeing the price people who made vids like this had paid@@bcwatches
@@minimalistmaverick loads! But top of the list is a San Martin Abalone Turtle (SN047-Q). Solid bronze with the green dial. I love a turtle and need a bronze for the collection. I'll probably get it now during Black Friday as with coupons I can get it for about £117 pre taxes. Also up the list is a Rdunae R3, blue version 👍
That was a fantastic review! Not only did you show some of the classic style features, I thought seeing the smaller size case “old school” on a normal wrist really hit home for me.
I like the industrial look of the case. What I don't like and how I would change: The Mechanic movement I would change to care and wear free quartz, for something "good one". Dial: I hate California dial. I need Type B Flieger or even the more simple field watch style full set of Arabic numbers. The dial must be full lume dial with dark indexes and hands. Every "five minutes" would be written outside the train track (05, 10, 15, and so on), if it is not the Flieger Type B (which maybe would be too crowded on such a small watch?).
Beautiful watch, but the one I purchased was dead on arrival. Nothing I could do would get it to run. Unfortunately, Baltany were not super helpful and the watch ended up in a drawer - maybe to be repaired some day when I can find someone to work on it. Just wanted to add my two cents as these Chinese watches can sometimes be hit or miss.
Yes, 37 mm watches are very wearable on classic ballerina's wrist but in my 8.20 inches wrist will look like a penny. Nice review, but for me a ridiculous watch size...
As far as I know, this is the only Willard homage with a true 4oclock crown, 19mm lugs and LOCK crown. My heimdallr I mod’d into a true Willard has the 4ish o’clock crown 😢.
I bought the San Martin 300m and i am happy with it my one is automatic, having the Seiko movement it is a bit heavy but the blue hew from the domed crystal is really nice.Solid tool watch and for about £150-200 worth the price.
been thinking of getting homage for watch that i will not get the original. tuna is one example, such a high price for a quartz, makes no sense to me, might get one of this SM tuna soon
Great review! I recently ordered the San Martin version and just waiting for it to arrive. The SM is a bit pricier, but the dial, printing and lume looks to be better. This one looks grest for the price though. A really cool looking watch, can't wait for my SM to arrive!
I have one of these on order (to replace my damaged Steeldive SD1970) and I can't wait! I think the crystal and bezel-insert REALLY lifts the standard compared to Steeldive/Heimdaller/Tonderino, etc...
