The other thing you might mention is that it does not require an external charging brick to charge. Very handy not having to carry around another piece of equipment. Also, here in the States right now 7/3/24 Walmart has this unit for $198USD so about $295AUD.
Good evening..I am trying to charge an ecoflow delta max 2000 with a TBE Pure Sine Car Inverter 2000W and it does not charge..do you know what could be wrong? Thank you very much
Great video. There was a bit of a lion king moment there at the top of the bluff. Gary and Zak reminded me of Mufusa and Simba. 😂😂😂 Spectacular shots. Well done.
Good idea, but it can damage your car battery because the alternator will continue sending charge to your battery without knowing that it would be charged. Place a Victron Orion or similar.
It would be a dream come true for me to camp with parrots screaching in the background! Ha! I'm sure it's annoying for you since you've been around it. Awesome!
@ExpeditionAustralia I plan on running the new 12/12 50a dc/dc charger from alternator to 100ah house battery. This should be charging the house battery at about 600w while driving. If I then connect the house battery directly to delta 2 using xt60i, would it also charge at maximum charge(500w) while driving? Then when I stop driving and the dc/dc stops charging the watts will drop to 12v x 15a =180w which I think would be pretty good as a constant supply of back up power. I still get high rate charge during drive time and then a lower constant supply as a kind of battery expansion. Do you think this would work?
Enjoying the series Steve. Been awhile since my daughter and i met you and the girls at Snowys. I think you were having an issue on the front end of the cruiser at the time. Looking forward to episode 3.👍
Been eagerly waiting for Part 2 and can’t wait for the next instalment. We’re planning our own OT adventure in December so it’s great to be watching along. Thank you! Some beautiful photos too - can’t wait to be there ourselves
Thankyou Steve. Great video! Such a great experience and achievement. Also. looking forward to part 3. Do you think a fit 65 year old could make the trip with the correct preparation and with a small group such as yours?
You definitely could do it. There were plenty of people over 65 and I even met a guy on the track back in 2006 in his 80’s walking it for the 8th time. He didn’t start hiking until he retired at 65!
Steve..." All very Nerdy & completely unnecessary"..LOL..On the Contrary..Your approach is Logical, Methodical, and definitely Very Necessary. Your approach IS the way to go. Remember the 6 P's.. 'Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance'. Top job mate, you are a legend and an inspiration. Your Logical approach will keep you alive and healthy. Thank you for allowing us along on your adventure, it's the next best thing to actually being there. And thank you for the great lists of Food and Equipment you take. Cheers from Michael.Australia.😁
Thank you, Steve, for posting this wonderful video. Excellent Narration, Crisp Editing and Beautiful Cinematography. Tassie is a truly Magical place. Cheers from Michael. Australia.
What if you push the button because you have an emergency, but for some reason you can not stay put and have to move somewhere else. Does it keep updating them your location, or do you have to keep pushing the button again?
As far as I know it keeps transmitting your location but I’d suggest double checking with the manufacturer. The KTI unit I show here is no longer available to buy but existing units still work.
We thoroughly enjoyed this video when it first came out and have been looking forward to the next instalment. In fact we were at Cradle Mountain recently and thought again about your series. So… is everything ok with you guys as it's been a while since episode one?
@@ExpeditionAustralia And what a fantastic episode it is too Steve. Many thanks for the effort you put into your videos. I really think you deserve way more subscribers. PS I also thoroughly enjoyed your garage series recently. Keep up the great work!!
Totally justified my reason for purchasing a power station instead of the typical solar set ups thank you enormously for this Blog i enjoyed every bit of it
It’s not that dramatic. Hiked it for the first time thirty years ago and each time after, the degradation is palpable. Social media has ruined it. If you think it’s wonderful now, visit the Barrier Reef!
I see you touching that negative while it is on, is that safe? And if so is that because it is only 12volt?(doesnt matter how much energy is running through it?), would touching the positive be safe too(not the insulated part, but the non insulated part). Thanks, I am in the process of learning more about electricity, especially car electricity.
I think that 10 or 9 meter length you references is round trip though isnt it? Including both the positive and the negative, so that cuts your length in half, and when you run that long it has more voltage drop. How has this set up been working for you? How long do you charge that battery for? Or how long do you use this thing at a time for and how many watts? Do you ever feel the cable to see if it is warm? I bought a 2000 watt inverter and decided to go with 00 gauge wire since it is running 12 feet(24 feeet) and I want to run 600 watts for hours at a time. what do you think? Thanks!
Tried pemmican? Mix ground beef with tallow, add some walnuts and cranberries (both ground) with some honey (little) to make tastier…..can live on it but a little bland.(been on a carnivore diet for 4.5 months now) Doing the track for my 5th time in November hopefully. Loved the vids
Hopefully someone can help. Can you just connect the battery to the Delta 2, using a battery and the xt60i. A DC to DC converter isn't really necessary? Especially if the Delta accepts DC and limits the consumption at 500w. Just really trying to understand if or why the DC to DC is needed or not.
Loved watching this video - I’m planning on doing the OLT in November this year, so you’ve given me great info! When is Part 2 dropping? Can’t wait to watch!
Help. ! Autotrail 2007 scout. I bought a EcoFlow delta 2 max. And then I got a renogy 1000w inverter I connected the ac out of the inverter to the EcoFlow ac charging point. I then connected the inverter supply cables directly to the battery inside under panel in floor. I know there is a battery outside in locker behind drivers side door. (Leisure batt) When I have the engine running and setup the inverter stops beeps and then carry’s on charging then it beeps and stops and carry’s on charging. Am I missing something ?
Hi Steve, thanks for posting this. I did the track the same time as you. In fact we were in the same bunk house a few times. Looking forward to seeing your next posts. Has Zac posted any of the footage he took yet?
Everyone talks about FASTER charging - with 25 years of experience in the space industry we charged at C/4 then switched to C/10 in the final stages TO PRESERVE BATTERY LIFE - charging faster is not better
