After entering college in 2008, I got sick of eating ramen noodles everyday and decided I would do better. With some practice, I started to force my foreign friends into trying everything I cooked, with good and bad experiences.

I then started to get better and better feedback and decided it was time to get my recipes out there for even more friends!

I hope you like my Brazilian recipes, the way I learned how to cook from my family, growing up in Brazil!

Thanks for watching and até logo!

Thank you because I made a different version and family loved it for hot sandwiches. Happy to see authentic version! The curds made are ricotta/cottage cheese.

Not sure if that pan is teflon, if it is safe to have flame directly on its surface. Might be toxic over time. Maybe use stainless steel for flambé.

Great guide! I cannot wait to try this. My wife is Brazilian and she craves this style of beans every year after we get back from visiting her family. I don’t know if I can match vovó’s cooking but I’ll try!

Bread Crumbs will not do. You meed to add manioc flour or farofa.

Why are you using "bread crumbs" for Farofa? You can get manioc (cassava flour) here in the USA. Julia Cassava Flour, Roasted is an excellent choice. Bread crumbs would get soggy and is simply not farofa.

Looks delicious!! I would use ground cloves though because biting into a whole clove is unpleasant to me. But I love the idea of coconut added 👍

Ok. I had to find this because I saw it at the Spanish Supermarket in the deli and it was almost finished because everyone was buying it! I was so curious because I never heard of this before. As an African American, collards is a staple but I never had it as a soup. I will definitely try this in the coming weeks. Thank you.

My most favorite memories of Brazil are stopping at the roadside stands in the villages and sitting down for a couple of coxinhas and a bottle of Guarana. O Brasil e o povo brasileiro estarão para sempre no meu coração. Eu amo todos vocês. ❤
