Is there an open rear sight you recommend for this rifle? The stock one is too low and I can't shoot because of the high cheek piece on this wood stock, I think I can Just leave the front one and change the rear one but dont know which one would work
Hi Greg how are you doing I had the prophet two in 25 had a couple of issues with the valve know I’m thinking of buying the Mora with the 700mm barrel which caliber do you recommend 22 or 25 I use to shoot with the .25
Hi. At the moment, my favorite is 600 mm in .25 but all of them are so great. I my test, I got only about 7 -8 m/s more with 700 mm barrel... Honestly any config is very good but in my mind, 600 seem to be enough for .22 or .25. I also love 9 mm with 700mm barrel and also look forward to 700 mm in .30. At the moment my gun is still in US where we were using it for the EBR 2024... I hope to make a video about that in a week or two.
Hi I cant think of anyone better to ask about problem. My k1 has started to not always rotate the magazine probably 20 percent is ok. Also the trigger sometimes does nothing apart from move. Any ideas please I'm set to 10 bar and below 11 ft pounds. Also tried up a little.
I assume you mean 100 bars ? In any case, lower pressure is an issue with K1/GK1. Also an option is that the oring on the pin that is pushing the indexing mechanism is damaged and cause friction. This should be replaced with NBR90 2.5 x 1,2 mm oring.
@@gregorkamensek3923 hi sorry yes I was originally on 150 bar all worked ok suddenly no rotation . I was advised to lower the pressure but it did not help . It read 10 on the guage 100 bar. I'm back up to 130 now. Still not rotating. I will look into the o ring although I'm not sure where or how. Thankyou
@@gregorkamensek3923 Thanks for your reply. Ahah ok I should get there ;) . Did you know how many shots the Huben can fire set to 300 bar and 40 joules with .22 15gr pellets?
@@AMPlinkeur I did not test this setup, but this might be a bit much for 15 grain pellet... I would assume you could get close to 2 magazines but this is just guessing. Much more efficient would be heavier pellet at this energy (for example Monster Redesign)
@@gregorkamensek3923 I asked because the sizes are different in the slugs. It is necessary to select the exact size for a specific barrel so that it shoots exactly like yours
I bought one of these and this was my experience with it. I direct filled rifle tanks without issues never more than once every half hour. When I started to fill SCBA tanks that did not go so well. I ran it straight for about 20 to 30 minutes and that melted the 2nd stage piston rings and no longer could get past 3000 psi just like that. I contacted VEVOR via online only and followed instructions and answered all questions, within a few weeks VEVOR sent me out 2 new sets of 2nd stage piston rings free of charge. I installed new piston rings, and the compressor is now working properly again. 1st stage rings were fine. To VEVOR, I recommend that an extra 2nd stage piston ring set should come with unit as mine did not, this would have left me more satisfied with this purchase and reduced stress. To users if filling tanks, I would not run straight, I don’t know what the magic number is, but run to long and it will melt down no matter what you do. Some say 20 minutes, I will never run more than 10 minutes myself between cool down periods is my plan going forward. Also, this is not a “Yong Heng” and parts are not the same. Parts for this one must go through VEVOR. Patients is a virtue here, Ha.
I had a Discovery scope and it was the worst thing I ever bought. It was a 6-24 x 44 FFP with a 30mm tube. Horrible scope that was out of focus and blurry. HORRIBLE!
Hellow, I know tuis is a old video but a great one, I have the same rifle and I have a quiestion that never got answered, when you leave the rifle with the magazine in for a period of time and I cock the rifle, the magazine Will not rotate so I have to either shot the rifle once and the magazine Will start indexing or I have to remove the magazine and indexing manually, this only happens when I leave it for a few days wthout using it, is this normal?
Yeah, it is quite normal. After the shot, the magazine is ready to index but if you bump it or rotate it slightly back, it will lock in position again. Not a very good design if you ask me.
Dear Gregor, we are lounching a new silencer adapter without portingn next week, so all the air goes through the front silencer end. We would like to send you a free sample for testing. How can we reach you?
If you take ur left hand and flip up the safety and wedge ur left thumb between the safety and the pressure gauge. Then Interlace ur right thumb over the left and you get a ROCK SOLID grip with fantastic stability. Oh; index finger underneath trigger guard squeezing up and the w the thumb, push on the gauge with ur thumb. Locks everything in tight. Took a long time to figure out what works the best as far as grip goes and this one has been the best so far.
The PP700SA is an excellent pistol that can take the folding stock, silencer (with adapter) and a 3-9x40 scope on low mounts, shoots accurately as well. Stripping her down reveals a regulator with 10 belleville washers (())(())((, plenum is in monoblock and exhaust valve body moves air up into the rotating loading port, 1mm TP for UK. Hammer spring is adjustable once you remove the handle as is the trigger, a concealed hole in front of the trigger allows access to the regulator via an allen key though this is fiddly. Folding stock folds to the side to be more compact though is wobbly, PP750 sliding stock is better. Likes JSB Hades and shoots consistently accurately with them. Pistol can be preloaded with a pellet and cocked when ready to fire, also easy to de-cock. All in all a fantastic little pistol that puts a smile on your face when firing 👍
Hello, I have been watching your video and I would like to ask you a question, I want to buy a compressor but I don't know which one, can you tell me what you think of the Vevor compressor, and which one you recommend, I like the Vevor and the Tuxing TXES021, I would really appreciate your opinion, greetings Pedro Luque from Spain.
Hi. I can only speak for Vevor. It works for me but I should point out that I am not using it that frequently. If you ask me, Vevor will fill you guns without issues but I would not fill bottles with it as it will overheat and probably damage the o-ring. But some people are using it for bottles and seem to do just fine. It will definitely require some care and maintenance if you do so.
I don't use it. As I said in the video, most efficient removal of air is condensation which almost every compressor have. But yes, you will still get some amount of moisture inside. Not that big of a deal especially if your tanks are not made of steel...
Can ANYONE tell me if there's a limit stop for the power adjustment screen? Or does it back out until it falls out? Or blows out under pressure? I am trying to find out just how far the power screw can be adjusted. I have a reconditioned GK1 .25 that seems weak even with the screwed bscked out 2-1/2 turns. I'm shooting 25gr pellets with a full fill yet only getting 720 FPS which is much less than others are claiming. Can I turn it out 3 turns? Out 3-1/2?
I believe I have explained this in the video. You can remove the screw fully and the pistol will still function but it might dump air at lower pressure because the valve is too opened. The screw will not go out because of the smaller hole in the grip, but it will clearly reach max opened state before that happens.
@@gregorkamensek3923 thank you for responding. So, in your experience, how many turns out is fully effective where going beyond that doesn't accomplish more. In other words at a point of diminishing return you shouldn't open it up any further, that's the point I'm looking for. Can I open it 3 1/2 turns? 4 turns? I have a chronograph and using the recommended 2-1/2 turns I'm getting +-750 FPS with .25, 26gr slugs. Obviously, that's pretty good but I was, as people do, want to get the most posdible. Recommendations?
@@bobjoatmon1993 I believe it is in the video but I would not go out over 2 revolutions (2 revolutions from fully closed). My favorite setting is about 1.5 revolutions from minimum. This still puts out significant power and you can get at lease 1 magazine from 300 bar fill... The adjusting screw has no more effect after about 3 revolutions. You can expect slight variations the information I provided because this adjusting screw is slightly different in every pistol but it should not be more than 1/4 of revolution.
Thanks for answering my quiestion, I know i'm asking too manan y but there is no one else that I know that has worked on these rifles, my Last quiestion is if you recommend to file the dented wheel that expose the valve stem when dialing the power wheel for more power? Thought that could give it more clicks and expose a bit more the valve stem
No, that will not give you more power. The first and safe mode you can do it to replace the transfer port with larger inner diameter. You can go up to 8-9 mm. But you should know that increasing the power on this gun will cause the cocking leaver to open when firing and you will get some blowback...
Do you know the proper way yo adjust trigger on rhis rifle? I did some adjustment with the screw in front of the trigger guard and when cocking the lever felt like it had sand on it, very rough, I had to disassemble the hammer and noticed it has some dings at the front edge, put it all back together and seems its working properly
The only adjustment of trigger this rifle has is sear engagement. But you must be very careful with it as when you are making your second stage shorter, you are also making the trigger less safe... As you said, you can to this with the screw in front of the trigger...
Hi Gregor, great comparison and video review! Im considering to buy 3-12x44 FFP, but it seems that the reticle is barely visible in lowest magnification. Is it usable to aim at closer range with the scope, or just on higher magnification when the reticle is much clearer?
It is a common problem of FFP scopes that either the reticle is to thin at low mag. or too thick at high mag. But I would say that it is usable at both ends. You don't really get a good representation how you see it from the video.
I bought two k1 carbons. And one has a major slug clipping issue. Making it leak and misfire. I’m guessing the barrel is too far in? How do I back it off?
Gregor, will you be reviewing a .30 Mora? I am interested to see how it will shoot pellets at 100Y. I know these are meant to shoot slugs but how do pellets shoot in them? I have zero interest in slugs. Thanks.
Thank you so much.i wouldn't have my huben gk1 if it was no because of your effort.thank you so much.i just got my huben gk1 yesterday.and i love it so much.
Allot of my friends have to replace the washer on power control cause whenever they try to adjust air preasure ,All of the air cane out once i turned the screw a little. I was told i needed to get a new washer for the power screw area...any advice????
Dont know if these were old guns and the washers kinda glued itself and whenbi turned it,it riped the washer..so maybe always make sure to lube washers maybe??
@@gregorkamensek3923 im saying it happend when they first got the gun..they were brand new..i have seen people on youtube saying that ot has happend to them too..
@@Unneededinfo Uf, sorry, I misread your first post. I thought you were talking about trigger adjusting screw... Yes, it will come out (if the grip is on, then the wood will prevent it from falling out). But the pistol can function normally but it is of course set to full power at this point, which can cause pressure dumps, if the pressure is too low (as I explained in the video).
So you intend to get one each? I of course love K1 rifles in generally, so I say go for it... If you are getting two, then get one in .25 and one in .22
@@gregorkamensek3923 yeah the carbon lite will be like the Ferrari you rarely drive but always show off 🤣 yeah I have a gk1 already. I’m about to start swaging slugs from Corbin and selling them.. your my hero btw!! The gk1 is amazing and it’s all cuz of you!! Cheers from 🇺🇸 👋 ✌️

They are high quality and have very good BC. I have tested them in old (LW barrel) and newer K1 (Chinese barrel) rifles. They tend to prefer LW barrel but new K1 rifles have new Huben barrels that are supposed to be much better, so I am waiting to receive those barrels to make final test and review... I also tested them in RTI RPB barrels and they are very accurate in them.
@@ThePredator2k Mine have the regular Chinese barrels... I don't know if the newer pistols already have the new Huben barrels... It should work well. Although, the boat tail does not really make sense for pistols since its advantages only comes with long ranges...
Hello Gregor, My name is Michael. I've purchased your Huben GK1 and I see that it is touchy with the ammo. What size, exactly, do I need for the .25 cal? The ones I have are a bit loose in their chambers and I've noticed the ammo wants to slip a bit, which leads to difficulties rotating the cylinder. I've read the advice it should be .254 sized, is that correct? I plan to purchase the correct mold for casting my own rounds, so please advise. Thank you, I enjoy the fit of it on my hand. Looking forwards to hearing from you soon. Good day.
Hi. .254 is too big for GK1. This size was good for old magazines in K1 rifle but newer magazines come with grooves (all GK1 pistols have this magazine as far as I know). These prefer around .252 size slugs. If you want to cast them and you want high weight (needs relatively high power setting) you can consider getting the mold I designed especially for K1 and GK1: www.mp-molds.com/product/642-mm-air-pellet-8-cavity-mold-version-3/ www.mp-molds.com/product/push-through-size-die/ - .252 (6.40 mm) BR, Gregor
The slugs that come out of the mold look very smooth and when I push them through the sizer it almost feels wrong to shoot them, you want to put them in a show case hahaha One - point, when I cast the slugs and cut them of with the leaver, the base of ths slug is round and I have to grind them to a flat surface. What could this be? I used the lead of old slugs from the trap.
Hi. Probably too low temperature of the mould for the alloy you are using. For pure lead, the temperature must be higher. If you are using those for K1, I would suggest that you add 1 - 2% of antimony. If you do so, the melting point will get lower lower and you will get better casts. Also, K1 (any GK1) prefer harder alloys because they shoot out of the magazine. They will be more accurate and you will also get less fouling on the forcing cone (less cleaning of the barrel).
Hello Gregor, I also have gk1 and k1. And I’m using a vevor to fill mine. But it seems like aea is a bit faster to fill the gk1. But the temperature also increases faster. I stop my vevor around 42/43 degrees. I have the idea when you run higher temperatures you create more moisture. What are your thoughts regarding this? Always check out your k1 videos. Hope you keep make some more. Gr. Anton
Hi. Hm, I compared to my Vevor but AEA was slower in my case... Regarding heat, I also filled Mora with 1100 cc bottle few times. It took about 10 minutes and the temperature was manageable, I could still hold the cylinder on the compressor... I forgot the actual temperature. Considering that higher temperature with same relative humidity air has more (absolute) moisture inside, you could say that but in that case, the temperature difference between the compressed air and the cylinder and all hoses is higher, so more of that moisture should condense and stay there... So I am not sure if it is in fact worse...
Interesting that’s your vevor seems faster. Could be I need to open it up and clean it. Bin using it for year now and also fill my 2ltr bottle with it. Kind of abuse it🤣. But it take it very well.
Take the vevor apart and clean it inside. Now it running fast again temperature also lower. So it looked like it just needed little attention 🤣. I just love this think. Every time I’m amazed how this little thing fill all my stuff with ease.
Well, that is not the final configuration of the gun. I will get those numbers not that I finally have the full production version with correct bottles...
